Our daughter in Fl just called. She found the same thing that you did Ray with the hotels.....all booked. We are trying to get her a key to Aunties condo South of the danger zone in Boynton Beach. Apparently this storm is going to regenerate on the Atlantic side and may end up hammering both sides....or that's what the cute pixie on TV says. Y'all be careful down there!

Rocky racoon returned today while Kerry and I were on the deck! He ran up the "owl tree" but was pretty close to us and inside his leaping range so i told him to get down and get his bum to the woods. He did after I sat back down.

How are you enjoying uni so far? Did you manage to find good accommodation?
I have been liking it so far. I was able to find an apartment from the private market where the landlord allows me to keep Edward. The apartment has a balcony, which Edward will probably enjoy in the summer.

My dad will probably soon start winter feeding birds. Last winter was hard on our birds here. The winter started suddenly before leaves even fell of the trees and the ground was still frozen with some new snow in May. It was estimated that about 30 to 60% of the overwintering population was lost last winter. With some species, all overwintering individuals e´were lost.

I hope your daughter manages to get out of harms way.
They just reported it on the BBC news, and were in Tampa which was smashed by Helene - such terrible destruction.

Good morning/afternoon all.
It's a very soggy day here again.

My car is in the garage having the lambda sensor replaced (I keep wanting to call it the lambada sensor 😀). They did say it would be ok to ignore it, but the engine warning light stayed on after the MOT, and when I was trying to pick up speed, on the motorway last week the car felt as if it was resisting or hiccupping. I was worried it would break down. So for peace of mind I decided to get it fixed. I just hope the repair doesn't cost more than the value of the car!!

One of my sisters has been admitted to hospital with suspected Conns Syndrome. Her BP has been sky high for a while and her potassium levels really low - a recipe for disaster, but hopefully they can stabilize her.

I hope you're all having a good Tuesday.
TTFN.
