We will be experiencing a dry spell soon. I have to the water sprinkler in one area. To help keep that area with green grass. This year I will set the sprinkler on top of a fence post. Dividing Opo and Ms.Sully so they both have green grass.Good morning all and happy 1st Nov.
We are having an unusually dry spell in South Wales at the moment which is supposed to last well into next week. Still cloudy though but at least we can get out and about without brollies or raincoats.
I've had a quick trip to the tip with a stack of recycling and have a few chores to do today. Considering it's just Lola and I living here, I seem to be constantly clearing up, we must be a messy pair! I blame Lola
Lola seems to have a clicky joint on his good back leg so I must investigate that - hope he's not heading for arthritis because of his uneven legs.
I hope you all have a good day and start to the weekend.

Lyn, how old is Lola?

LOLHe also turned out to be male
Well, no wonder with most species looking all females when young and developing male characteristics only later.LOL
This seems to be a running theme here in turtleland!
I am not sure if I have seen a picture of Lola.Lola is about 13 - 15 years. I've had him 10 years but no idea when he was hatched.
The first vet I took him to for a health check said he was female and about 10. Then I saw a 7 year old leopard who was twice as big as Lola so unless he was very small for his age, I don't think he was that old. He also turned out to be male - so much for the vet's tort knowledge!
Really appreciated, my friend.I enjoy it too much to stop. I might have missed the post. I'm just really glad you got it the right year.I was sweating it. I just figure send it and you have a bit of cheer the day you get it

I love the sound effects, Ray, and as you know, I think Opo is an extremely handsome chap - no wonder Ms Sully seems quite keen to meet him !Opo is excited to see a female.Make sure volume is on
I removed the concrete block and put another fence rail on top make it higherI hope that partition is strong enough.
Thank you Angie, the sound a male makes while breeding is crazy. Even if is breeding with a cement block.I love the sound effects, Ray, and as you know, I think Opo is an extremely handsome chap - no wonder Ms Sully seems quite keen to meet him !

Nor do all Hermanns, though I can only speak for Zola - the noise he makes when trying to mate with my foot is a cross little squeak !Well, I can say that a Russian doesn't sound like that![]()
I don't know why it has to be so hard for the 'victims' of inconsiderate people to get peace restored. It's very unfair.Dear Lyn,
I have looked at the council's website on reporting nuisance neighbours and there is so much stuff to read through that I think I need to phone them back to point me in the right direction. However first I will phone the landlords to see what the situation is. Three other neighbours are contacting the council and one neighbour said who phoned the landlord to say that they should be out and they replied "we are trying to get them out"! I googled the process of landlord/estate agents removing nuisance tenants and seems that they write to them first and if that doesn't work the whole case could go to court but there is a way of fast forwarding everything which I am trying to understand. Either way it is more work all because of inconsiderate selfish people.
Quite a few fireworks here but Jacky's not bothered.
