No I'm also in the south but was lucky - half a mile away there were power cuts for most of the afternoon. I just had some occasional flickering lights.
Winds are about 58 mph here now so heading in the right direction and gusts not as frequent.
I've had to tape the letter box shut as it was rattling and making Alfie bark. He must think I have a lot of visitors knocking the door ,.
Take care if you have to go out.

I keep thinking Alfie is a tortoise for a second or two and wondering why he is barking.

I miss her too. I still have her in some ways though. I subscribed to her utube channel and can watch one of her videos anytime. When I get to thinking about her I do. You have a great weekend too.

She was a lovely lady, kind generous, funny and sweet.

I will find a youtube video of Sabine. I miss her also, she learned the song Crazy by Patsy Cline after I requested. I wonder if I could find it here in the CDR?

Alfie is a pomeranian who looks like a fox. He comes to stay with me occasionally when my sister goes away.

LOL, relax guys, just because you may have a low risk-comfort zone, apparently he doesn't. I'm reasonably sure he was just taking advantage of the big surf from the storms. You guys would hate to be my relatives....my risk comfort level seems to be high enough to cause discomfort in those around me too. I just look at them funny! LOL He'll be fine.

We had over 55F here today! A wonderful day. My youngest came over for lunch. After we ate, we took her out to feel what "self-driving" feels like in a car she's driving. She thought it felt weird. It was really nice having her here.

We also went up to the Train garden on Kent Island. Lots of neat stuff there. All the "train guys" with trains on display were older than me. I've got that to look forward to?

Much calmer here now thank goodness, and I'm looking forward to taking Alfie for a good walk tomorrow.

I think when he got to the coast it was so bad he thought better of it.
To be honest I'm not really bothered what risks he takes, and didn't waste time worrying about him but, if he did get into trouble he would also put the crews of our lifeboats at risk and they are all just ordinary people with families who volunteer to go out in all conditions for rescues and they were asking people to stay away. He also has 2 daughters who probably would be quite upset if anything happened to him.
