Dear Tidgy - I have been thinking about you a lot, and wondering if some time you would like to come out with me to go fishing. I realise that you may not like fish -I don't- but we could have a peaceful sit and chat together. This is my favourite place...View attachment 384195Respectful regards from Zola x

We have them all on DVD, and I love them - My favourite people are Avon and Orac ! My husband's favourite was Servalan,of course ! I agree about the theme music. It's a shame there weren't more episodes.
Angie
There are more on Big Finish Audio.
Some of those are very good too, with the old cast.
Avon was a good character, but Paul Darrow couldn't act for toffee.
He was terrible in Doctor Who.
Peter Tuddenham was a good voice actor and played Zen too .
Jacqueline Pearce was a lot of fun, completely crazy.

Dear Zola.
I have been thinking of you often as well.
I would love to go fishing with you at your favourite place.
Daddy used to go fishing with his grandad and though they did this often, they never caught a single fish.
It didn't matter, it was the company that was important, the atmosphere, the tranquility and the views.
I have been helping Daddy with his work,

Take care
Tidgy.

It's been in the 50'sf the last couple of days. We had sub zero for a few days and all of sudden we have the start of spring. It hasn't turned winter yet according to the calendar.🙃 We'll see what Sapphire thinks soon.🐢😊

Yes Y, the VR game is very much like shadow boxing but they give you 2, 3or 4 punch combinations that REALLY loosen you up. It's hard because you have to remember then execute the sequences. Great exercise!

Break a branch off of the cherry trees and see if you can get it to root at home. I would like video of you defacing government property.

I think Kerry has one of me prying a Union bullet out of the wall at Fort Sumter.....from the very first volley of our Civil War. I also have slugs from Gettysburg, Vicksburg and I tried to get the one on display at Fords Theater but that would have meant prison....so I left them. LOL

You mean that kind of defacement? Yeah....but I was good last night in DC, we even had to clear our for the Presidents Helicopter landing at the White house!

So the National Christmas trees;

It turns out that daughters BF erected the fences for the Christmas display in DC. It's what he does for a living so he was educated on the process.
This is done by a committee of the current administration. There have been some very cool displays, unfortunately, this year the theme must have been Charlie Brown! What an embarrassment.

First.....just look at the tree! WTF???

We could have done better at Home Depot!

EVERY State tree this year is adorned with identical ornaments, every tree the same this year. They have drawings on the flat plate ornaments by the kids but with little lighting, you can't see a thing.

The Nativity scene didn't even have a single light on it.

There was no fire pit as there has been in past years so I'm really glad we went the one night it was in the 50's!

Kerry had never seen the display before so I didn't tell her how badly it was "lacking". It's almost like people who didn't care anymore, were in charge of putting it together. There was no "joy". LMAO

Maybe next year will be better.

Here is a true story. My oldest son was 5 or 6 years old at the time. We parked the car and were headed towards the beach. Jim said, dad I need to go pee. I told him to wait and pee in the lake. He ran down to the lake. He was about knee deep. Pulled his bathing suit down and started peeing in the lake.🤣

I live in a mainly agricultural area of the UK, and one of the really nice things that happens near Christmas is that one sees many tractor drivers and drivers of huge trucks wearing complete Santa costumes (often beard and all) as they go about their work.
I wondered if this was a common custom elsewhere ?

Yes there are many Santas here too. In all kinds of ways though. Not just in trucks. Everywhere you look there's a Santa. It's a wonder kids haven't figured it all out yet. They still believe. Or maybe they just believe because they continue to see them everywhere.😊 from the looks of it he got an early start. Unlike me.
