Here is a incident that happened at a small airport in Waterford Michigan. One of the passengers were getting on a private jet. When he got in the airplane, he knew the pilot. The pilot was on the radio with the tower. The passenger said Hi Jack. Instantly after the tower heard that. Communications were shut down and personnel went into their hijack protocol. Of course it was reported in the newspaper. Back in the day when there were newspapers.

Security is very tight at airports now. My brother in law was once on a flight up to Scotland for work, but unknown to him his young son had put a toy gun in his suitcase while his dad was packing.
Paul checked in and boarded his flight, but the gun was picked up on the x-ray screening of his case. So Paul was taken off the flight by security and questioned and held for hours until they established it was a toy and that he didn't have a history of armed robbery.

Unfortunately Cathie, none of my friends are so practical. I have lots of nephew's and nieces but none of them are mechanically minded apart from the one in California and he would only be able to help if I owned a Tornado or Typhoon jet!

The mechanic at the garage said it's a good little car and worth repairing, but then he'd be losing business if I didn't. I do trust them though.

Hopefully my little Fiesta will battle on a while longer.

I'd do what your trusted mechanic says. Yes it gives him an income but he'd have it anyway. Whatever you buy will need fixing too because it's a machine.

I am very fortunate that Kerry has such a great sense of humor.....but I won't be pushing her too far....I've seen her swing a bat!

Ray, can't tell you why.....just the totality I guess. Between our conversations and the forum it's just something I notice. I notice patterns, things that change and things that move. You have friends here, when you aren't talking to them, I can only guess why.

"Someone" is just outside my window at 5:30AM. I can hear them walking, probably a deer. I think they are eating the moss that grows under this window. It's dark so I can't see out and I don't really want to spook it/them. They had a rough day yesterday....when the clumps of snow fall throughout the woods as temperatures climb, it makes them VERY jumpy! They were all racing yesterday....zoom, zoom! They must be exhausted today. I was tired just from watching them flit from place to place yesterday! LOL

I removed my headliner from my little car the other day. The fabric was coming loose, hope to be able to take it to the local craftsman to get recovered later this morning. I spoke to Alfredo on Tues but he got snowed out yesterday. A used on on fleabay cost 350-400 bucks.

I told Kerry that if Alfredo is that expensive, I may Flock it! Who will see it?

Remember me thinking something was walking outside the window this morning? It was clumps of snow falling from the branches and hitting the ground...there were no tracks near the window...LMAO. I get so convinced of something...that it slaps me when I realize how wrong I was!

Hope all are doing well.

Kerry gets a break...we are having tea this evening...common for her, very rare for me. Our snowman melted today. I also lost then found my wedding ring. I realized it was gone around 10-11am this morning. I figured I had lost it very recently. I retraced my steps from today and came up empty. Before I went into the front yard where we had been playing I got the metal detector out....geared up and went out to find it. The thing about using one, you will examine the ground much better...even if the machine doesn't find it for you....as in my case...I saw it, the machine did not! Yay Jeff...came inside and put tape on it to tighten it up!

I'm so glad you were able to find THE ring.!!!! You slid by that one....by the skin of your teeth maybe you should eat ice cream and cookies like me and get a fatter finger.

Rose is out of surgery. The hospital uses text messages to keep me updated. When the surgery was done. The doctor called me and explained the procedure to me. They will give me a text when she gets to her room.

The congestion is breaking up. Two days ago I got a sore throat. The steroid my doctor prescribed seems to be helping. Yesterday evening I fell asleep and didn't put Opo and Ms.Sully to bed. Rose and Nanay got home around 9pm. So Rose put them to bed. She said Opo was still waiting at the front of his night box. For me to bring his evening snack. Opo is definitely spoiled. I hope I can spoil Ms.Sully also. I am trying but she is very independent.

To Rose. I hope she has a short stay. Especially knowing her. She'll want to be home.

It is supposed to be a one night stay. She won't be allowed to drive for 7 to 10 days. Also no lifting for 6 weeks. I will have my hands full. Trying to get her to obey the doctors orders.

The hospital has a neat procedure. Where they text messaged me to keep me up to date of the operation. Doctor called me after and gave me a report after the surgery.
