Yikes Ray! You need to be more careful! That sounds like such a nasty burn! Are you sure that you need those CHE now? I think the housing arrangement you have is best with no CHE!

About 3 days ago, I ended up with a 3rd degree burn on the tip of my apputeed arm. I couldn't get it to stop bleeding. So I went to the hospital. Being the tip of my arm is numb. I didn't know how I burned it. This evening I was closing up Opo for the night. Outside of his enclosure, I have a CHE hanging. So when he wakes up on chilly mornings. I was going thru my normal routine and touched the CHE lamp with the tip of my arm. I had forgot to turn it off. This time I felt it because my skin was burnt. The reason for such a bad burn. Was because the skin was skin grafted. So it is really thin.So now I know how it happened. I will not tell Rose so don't any of you tell her.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
P.S. I would show you but it's not the best looking.

Good morning all it's another bright and beautiful day here.

That's great Cathie, it will help lighten your load and very kind of to you to try to find food from his country, but sounds like he doesn't want to make extra work for you. I'm sure Google has lots of recipes though. My guess is he'd be happy with any world wide common soft drinks, like cola etc.
Our coke isn't good. But I'll try to get a cola with better ingredients. My son and I have been exploring recipes for the food of Africa. We really can't find actual recipes unless we buy a cook book. The videos show you how and what foods but not how much. Come to find out they like the foods we do anyway. So we are somewhat getting comfortable trying out new ways to cook the same food. I hope I can get Martin to show me his mother's way of cooking it 😊 we'll see.

Google is ur friend. All kinds of plantain recipes out there.
I have 3 plantains and some avocado oil. I think that's a good place to start. I've been wanting a good way to cook plantains for 20 years or so. I'm going to try deep fried this time. I did find out which ones to buy for some good food. Wish me good cooking 🤗

Found that Cathie. You have to scroll down quite a way to get to recipe.

Actually Joe's TV is a smart TV with a fire stick. Mine is a fire TV and doesn't need a fire stick. It was so cheap. It's the Best Buy Brand insignia. That's a smart TV with the fire stick built in. I saw them in store around last December for $80 for a 26". Since I just like a small TV I was cheered up. Instead of the price going up it came down.😊
That was a great price!

I hope that heals quickly for you Ray. Will you have to have another skin graft now? Look after that and keep infections at bay.
Time will tell on the skin graft but they say probably not. I don't think burning it the second time did anymore damage. When I touched the dome of the CHE. I felt it this time, so I moved my arm quickly. I am going to ask them if there is a better way for the dressing to be applied. It has to fit losely so no pressure on the wound. Unless I sit around and do nothing. It's pretty easy for the dressing to fall off. It fell off when I transferred to my wheelchair. That's why the dressing was off when I touched the CHE. I am also on antibiotics.

And how does Rose not know you have the burn? U 😉 are just fooling yourself if you think she's not playing Snoopy 😊
Oh she knows about the burn, but today is when I figured out how I did it. At first I figured I did it while cooking on the BBQ. So that's what she thinks. I have injured myself one way or another tending to Opo. Everytime I get a wound tending to the tortoises. She gives me gruff about it. So I will keep this to myself, as long as I don't have to lie to her. If she asks me something about how I think I got the burn,I won't lie to her. But for now it happened when I was BBQing.🤫🤫

The CHE is not in the enclosure. It is just outside of the enclosure for chilly mornings. Chilly mornings should be over with hopefully after this week. Tues, weds and thursday at night it will get down in the 40's and 50's. That should be the last of chilly mornings for the summer. If Ms.Sully's enclosure was in a porch. I would have one for her also. Soon Opo’s enclosure will be outside of the porch. I want the porch back for Rose,Nanay and myself to enjoy.

Thanks guys! Much appreciated! #1 aniversary.. Lol

Understand that I'm a bit miffed with Kerry. She knows it because we talk all the time. She is leaving today for Florida for a couple weeks to take care of a bitchy old lady friend of her sisters....im less then happy but she's allowed to do what she chooses too I guess. Am I supposed to say this stuff out loud? The old coot loves me and I like her, mostly because she's such a colorful person...but she's taken a mental dive and she hates everyone now. Her lack of knowledge and her phone enabled thieves to rip her off for 45grand a couple of months ago. Her boys need to step up...thier mom needs help.

So this all put a pall on our aniversary but we had a nice dinner out then saw a play- "Noises off" which is a different type of play....the "set" is a key player in the play. Very well done...really a tough one to direct but they did fantastic. After the play we spent the night in the suite we got married from. We had breakfast there yesterday rhen drove home. A nice day but next year will be better. Kerry knows not to screw it up again by inviting guests who stayed at our home while we were gone then her leaving the next day! Lol

Btw- the date I mentioned before... it's when one leader asked another for help & was refused...8 times. That leader must realize now that his decision didn't age well. Rich....so rich......
Received the manual. Thank you so much. It is a wealth of knowledge. I like the yamaha warranty book also. What a great item to have.

Stunning picture Mark!

I told Kerry that I was going to ask Ray how Rose was doing after her procedure last week....she's going to be very disappointed Ray that you managed to hurt yourself though. I figure that you're pretty tough so; How is your wife doing?

Watching more and more folks go through that decline as I grow older and it's very sad. I'm not a "caretaker" type so I hope that we never have to deal with it personally.

Terminator and American Pie movies tonight.....

I threw in an old "work item" list. It's my method for reviewing each part of the work that has yet to be done. Things that take a long time are usually emboldened to stand out to be sure that I pay attention to my own instructions. It might seem weird but when faced with 1800 items to do, a list hat can be checked off comes in handy!

Rose is doing good. She has been behaving not to push herself. About all I could do for her. Was limit her having to get out of bed right after the operation. So I was her legs for awhile. I still help her out once she gets in bed for the night. So she doesn't have to get back up.

I appreciate the to do list. Never tried it myself, but I can see how helpful a list can be.

We recorded the first episode, but I found it almost unbearable - the very loud music - the commentary drownwd out by it - it was actually painful, and we didn't like the story-lines much either - we gave up before the end! The photography was magnificent,of course ! It seems that any nature documentary now has to include a lot of loud music, which seems to get louder and louder with every new programme. Do you not have any problem with this, Natrah ?
Angie
Good morning everyone!

Yes I want to hear the sounds of nature and it's ruined by unnecessary music. I've written the BBC a letter about but I didn't get very far.
