The most painful part is I broke Sapphire's soaking water bowl and can't drive to buy it him a new one. He still has his drinking water dish though. I can't believe I'm not in pain but I'm not. I have multiple broken bones in my cheekbone and a small fracture in my knee cap. I'm walking on it with a stabilizer. The worst part was being in Grant hospital overnight!!!!! I couldn't wait to escape.
Oh, Cathie, I'm so sorry. I hope the bruising will fade soon - I managed to have several falls flat on my face, some years ago, and the bruising was pretty bad, even though I wasn't all that badly hurt, and poor Richard got some very nasty suspicious looks when he accompanied me to the doctor, etc - I felt I should be explaining to everyone that it wasn't his fault - he wasn't even there at the time!
Love and best wishes
Angie

Holy craft lady! I thought someone beat you! Yeah....seeing a woman hurt upsets me. To find out that it's your own fault....well that just makes you a DA...but in a good way because we all love you and hope you are sparkling again soon!

I would not have gone with you.....not if you were mostly okay anyway. Those looks would have been a bridge too far for me. Kudos to Richard though...a better man than i! LOL

Lyn, I must drive you crazy with my grammar and sentence structure.
When I was a chairman of UAW Local 5960. I had to write a chairman's report every month for the local union news letter. Thankfully I had a secretary that took what I wrote and put the letter in proper form. She made me look very good. 🤣
No I don't look that closely Ray. 🧐,😄.
It's more the way things are said than written that annoys me. When I was in school good grammar was drilled into us, but to hear youngsters speak these days they either haven't been taught it or they are very lazy., but then again language is always changing, we don't say thy or thee anymore 😄 (except in hymns and prayers).

I always blame everything on spell check with everyone and read through the lines here. At least here we actually talk and don't rely on other people's sayings. Unlike Facebook.

Yes. The bruises are crazy. When I look in the mirror I can't believe it. It's hard to explain my feelings. I have to laugh a little because it looks like I almost got killed and maybe I did but I didn't. It really doesn't hurt much. Even with broken bones it's just sore to the touch around my eye. And I'm able to walk even with a little fracture in my knee cap. I just have to wear a stabilizer. I just feel really blessed because it could have turned out so much worse. Accidents can happen to anyone. It does seem like though, now that I'm older, I'm not able to catch my balance as well as I used to. I guess it's the price I have to pay for getting my second childhood 😊

My first doctor in the first ER said when you do it you do it good! 😜 I didn't have the bruising at that point yet. I didn't even hurt my neck. Yet that's where the biggest part of it ended up. All I can say is that's the biggest shiner I've ever seen in my life so she's right.

The first fall was when I was hurrying into the school where I worked, wearing a backpack full of heavy school stuff.I just went over flat on my face - the doctor said it was a 'drop attack" ,where one's muscles all lose control at once, so you are unable to help yourself - the next fall was when we were chatting to someone in a garden centre - except this time I suddenly fell flat on my back - right into a lovely and carefully arranged plant display -and with an audience !! Since then, I haven't had anything quite as dramatic -but I always carry a stick with me when outside.

Dear Cathie,

I hope the following makes you feel better. When he was at school my brother had trouble spelling the name Kunt so I said you can't write that! I said "It's spelt Knut!" He laughed when he realised what he'd written 🤣🤣🤣 but it turned out that we were both wrong and he should have written Canute!

My falls are always caused by my feet sliding or getting caught up on something. I can't catch my balance anymore because I'm not quick enough. Or maybe once I have my cataract surgery that might change. I think my sight is throwing off my equilibrium too.

Lola has been in and out today and basked for a while in his sunny spot until about 3 pm, but he's hardly eaten today - even with room service. Can't think why. I'll be keeping an eye on him.
Big Matt hasn't eaten in a month or more. I even enticed him yesterday in our 80F + temps, to give him steak with Kanas Steaks seasoning on it. He's a sucker most times for that. He seems intent on other things this time of year....LOL Lola may be feeling that same urge!

Kerry and I are making the difficult decision to move out of this state. Neither of us wants to leave the Nook but the lurch in one direction in Annapolis is taking away any desire I had to financially support the State and I make more now than when I worked. Delaware is 30 miles from here. They do not tax retirement income nor do they have a Sales Tax or a pretend-board to justify stealing from "us" to give to their "constituents". Hmmm, almost like they believe your money is actually yours as opposed to Md which operates under the assumption that you are only holding their money! LOL

It's cool though, I already found a 2,500 sf single level Rancher with full basement & a pond sitting on a 3 acre site next to 4 other 3 acre homes sites so there won't be further development. Sounds very Nook-like right?

Water without taxes....pretty cool huh?

Zillow had no idea how to process our desires.....but I am a master of searching the net with it's new "above the line" approach. (In 3/21 Google revised it's search engines to ONLY show paid listings unless you have an exact address. Most never even noticed but I did the day it happened.)

You really need to stop the falling Ms Cathie. "Falls" proceed death in old people. Its always the "beginning of the end" and we all know it here in the CDR. Maybe some balance exercises from a sitting position in a chair. Sit, then look up quickly. Did you get a moment of dizziness? If you did or do, you need to work on balance.....you aren't supposed to get dizzy from looking in a different direction! You didn't used to did you? It happens to all of us. I test my balance in the shower. If I can stand on one foot while I soap and wash the other leg and foot, my balance is good. If I'm leaning on the shower wall I know that I have to practice balance stuff more. Give yourself some attention...you are worth it!
