I'm confused. So was the pie made from mulberry? The tree?I think other places call them Mulberries??
She sounds like a wonderful friend to have had. And continued to have. I wish I could have had that kind of friendship with some of my favorite teachers. I'm glad you had her. They're a blessing aren't they. And it sounds like you are passing that along to your students too.Good morning everyone!
I had some sad news yesterday in that my former Music Theory teacher and friend of 43 years passed away a week ago. She got me through grades 4 to 7 and I achieved full marks for grade 4. She was so proud of me that she kept reminding me about it as well as telling everyone about for years afterwards.

A favourite of silk worms.Berry tree pics. This tree is 20- 25ft or so tall and gave us all the berries for the pie.View attachment 391116

How wonderful to witness all that in your back yard.Yes MS Cathie...that very tree.
We had some good news at the Nook in today. We saw a fawn being born...sorry for the pic but we didn't want to spook mom. When the fawn drops you cannot see it's spots till mom licks it. NeatView attachment 391186

Little baby Racoons....so incredibly cute. Rocky(mom) has been sleeping on the top of the box and today moved them one at a time, hundreds of yards away to a new home. Pretty cool that Kerry's Dad was here to see it all.
Sorry for your loss Natrah. It's not just the loss of a friend but a big part of your history too. It's wonderful that you're now passing her legacy onto your pupils.Good morning everyone!

See my American brothers and sisters.....it's world wide! The window! LOLMy parcel still hasn't arrived so I've not been able to go out. Just had a message to say it will arrive between 6 and 9 pm.
Fire up the BBQ Jeff - we're all on our way!!!See my American brothers and sisters.....it's world wide! The window! LOL
You really don't want Racoons in your home...and I would cringe if they ever get into my garage or shop. They can be very destructive MS Cathie but you be careful, they are not shy and timid creatures but are usually up for a fight so don't take away his option to escape by mistake.
Kerry is driving Dad home to NY this morning in his 208,000 car. We got it fixed last week and we picked up my truck finally from Long term parking at BWI where we parked on the way to Florida a couple of weeks ago..... that was nearly a mortgage payment!
I hate when she's gone but I'm glad that she gets to go gang with family for a few days. She will either take the train to Wilmington Dr and i pick her up or im thinking of going to get her in NY and continue on a road trip for a few days. Hmmm, have to think about that. We have a large family reunion here at the end of June then a trip planned afterwards so it might be a bit much right now.
I also picked up my new glasses yesterday....progressive transitions like the ones I wear but this time I opted for the best lens they have...hd lens. It IS better but the delta for it used to be 100 bucks and now it was 300 and im not sure it was worth all that just in case anyone else is considering.
The guys leave around 8 so feel free to call or come by after.....LOL
Nope. No raccoon as house pets for me. Their little hands can do anything! Break into everything! Little bandits. I raised babies for release in the wild. You gotta admit it's tempting though. They're so lovely and cute. Butt ...yes they aren't suitable for a house pet. That doesn't mean I'm going to try booting that raccoon anytime soon. At least by myselfSee my American brothers and sisters.....it's world wide! The window! LOL
