Good morning everyone!

Jacky has cataracts and arthritis in one back leg but apart from that she's doing okay at 89. I have to feed her on a white bowl or black slate which I have been doing. I have also been recommended what I believe is Oxbow for her joint.

How does one even come up with a name like this? The UK has the strangest English speaking town names I've ever seen! LOL!
That's the English spelling of the Welsh name Caerffili, which means Fort of Ffili. It is famous for its castle with a leaning tower and moat. There is a crumbly white cheese called Caerphilly too.

Good morning/afternoon all. The weather has perked up although it was quite chilly this morning.

I've been to a neighbours funeral today. A lovely lady but she had Alzheimers and had been crippled with arthritis since she was in her 30s so she's had a really hard time of it - it was a blessing really. Still very sad for her husband and sons though because Alzheimers took her from them years ago.

Here we are at the end of May and meteorological spring already. Some parts of the UK have declared a drought because it has been so dry. I just hope we have a much wetter summer. I've been using all my waste water for the garden for a while, but I think I'll get myself a large water butt (tank) so that I can collect more, because I think there might be a hosepipe ban soon.

I hope everyone is having a good Friday. TTFN

We're still having another cool rainy🌨️🌨️🌨️ dreary and dark spring day. It's been in the 50's and low 60's f for days on end. So I'm cooking soup beans here to warm us up with baked garlic bread.. maybe with cheese. Still we do need the rain because of the drought last year... I'm happy. Sapphire is moping too because he can't get outside..but soon he'll get to be outside daily.🐢🐢🐢🙏 summer is coming quickly😊

We're in a warm up trend.🌤️. Yeah 👍 yippee. Sapphire gets to go outside every day next week finally 😊🐢. Today was still only in the 60's f but tomorrow will be much better. And then the 80's all next week. I might even have to use his new red umbrella for shade. His enclosure can go 20° higher because of direct sun.

Jacky has been out today but I had to bring her in because it was blustery and she wasn't eating. It is about 22 degrees Celsius here and it's supposed to cool down before warming up again.

Happy Sunday and 1st June to you all. The first day of meteorological summer. In 3:weeks time after the summer solstice the daylight hours will start to shorten.
I walked to a shop a few hours ago and as I was walking home the heavens opened and I was drenched. I don't mind though we need all we can get.
I hope everyone is having a peaceful Sunday. TTFN

If I could send you all some rain ☔ I would be really happy to share. Even though today got pretty warm at 83°f , it's been chilly. I think all the rain has made the ground cooler. I'll be happy with the projected temperatures. It's supposed to hit the 80's for several days. That means the back yard will be in the 90's. It gets so hot you still need at least an umbrella 🏖️. Even my tortoise 😊

Matt was enjoying his pool early this morning even though it was only 49F.
The brick keeps him drownproof if he lands upside down in the pool.

He is 5 years old this month!
We had terrific rains until today. Mark was under tornado warnings Friday night. We had biblical rains....it came up to the edge of the garage floor while I was out there puttering. A trashcan I put out last Sunday by the gazeebo had 6.5" of water by Saturday afternoon!

I picked Kerry up yesterday evening from the train station in Delaware but only after i realized the car took me to the wrong place. They could make the entire address readable! LOL

We have had a fantastic day here..sunny and 70's...

Enjoy guys

The last couple of days it was a possibility that I could see the Northern lights at night. Even where I live. I just didn't have the energy to try. There's overcast skies because of the Canada wildfires. Furthermore I live in a city, so the city lights probably would have not allowed it anyway. That's all right because I've seen them once. It was nice.
