Does the ground crack? We are starting into 7 weather alert days in a row. My back yard was 109° f today at noon. I've seen it much hotter here. It has direct sun most of the day. I haven't seen what the official temperature was today for our area yet though. My back yard is always at least 10° or more hotter. That helps in the winter but not now.
Not quite like ours Lyn. Keep hydrated everyone! We are starting into 7 weather alert days in a row. My back yard was 109° f today at noon. I've seen it much hotter here. No it doesn't. I think it's because we live in a flood zone. The worst that usually goes on is the grass can get really dry if it doesn't rain. The back yard has a slight hill and at the low area is where it will flood easily.Does the ground crack?
There's a Pic from last year (mid of July).
I bought some Pedialyte pop cycles today for Joe and I. I'm supposed to have a little extra hydration for my eye for recovery. Pedialyte is my go-to for that so we'll see. They might even be better than the liquid. Not quite like ours Lyn. Keep hydrated everyone!

Some people probably think I'm exaggerating when I tell these temperatures about my backyard because of where I live. I'm not though. It truely gets that hot and hotter. I have Wi-Fi devices that tell me what the temperature is at almost ground level. I can just about imagine how hot Arizona and other southern places get in the US if they are in full sun like me. I used to just accept that the official weather man temperature was our temperature for the day. After I got Sapphire everything I thought about all that changed. I guess having a tortoise rubs off some wisdom and knowledge on you.I'd have to live in my freezer if we got that hot! Keep hydrated and cool Cathie.
My former pupil is from Baghdad where it sometimes nudges 50 degrees Celsius. Some people probably think I'm exaggerating when I tell these temperatures about my backyard because of where I live. I know what you mean Cathie, my garden is south facing and sheltered so whatever the temp of the area is I can add several degrees to that. Some people probably think I'm exaggerating when I tell these temperatures about my backyard because of where I live. I figure our heat wave just broke up because we just had a really nice rain. Happy birthday to your nephew. The 40th is one of those milestones. ..but I can't remember which oneGood afternoon/evening all.
It's been another day of light showers but quite muggy at times. According to the forecast there's another heatwave on the way, but I hope it's not as hot as last week.
We have family party on Saturday for one of my nephew's 40th birthday. He doesn't know a thing about it, so he'll be in for a surprise when he turns up at the pub for a quiet drink!
I've been tasked with printing off photos of him from his younger years and sticking them to bunting, - should raise a few smiles.
Meanwhile it's time for my bed, so nos da, not see you tomorrow.
