I do.
It's funny how people characterize me without knowing me😄 "Self-centered" ( I just like to do what I want), "selfish " ( well, I donate a lot to those who's in need, including almost brand new vehicles, so...), "all about fashion " (fashion takes a huge part in my life, but I consider it as an art), "career obsessed" (I just love what I do), and so on.
Thankfully, there are plenty of folks who actually know me😊
p.s. that's present me. After 40 I released that the life is short and I live now. Not in the past or future.
Yes! Sisters are doing it for themselves!

Dear Lyn,

There's been an air crash at our local airport. I hope there weren't too many people on that plane.

Natrah
This morning I saw that story on my local news station. I'm clear across the pond.! That surprised me. It must have struck a lot of hearts around the world.

I had to take Joe for his eye appointment this morning. We have the same doctor that's looking after my cataract surgery. Joe had a good checkup and somehow so did I. I'm doing so good that after I run out of my steroid eye drop I don't have to refill it to finish the required time. That seems silly right. To be concerned about that but I was. I didn't want to refill the bottle because I've used one bottle for both eyes all this time. It's a big bottle of medicine to just throw away for a few drops. Maybe I'll drop a few extra for gp by mistake woops 😉

Good morning/afternoon all.
It's been much cooler here the last couple of days, so I'm happy. We've also had some rain with more to come, so great for wildlife and
almost a perfect day for me spoiled only by very high winds, but it's better than a heatwave.
It wouldn't surprise me if the hosepipe ban is extended to many more places today which is a good thing but there's always selfish people who will ignore it.
Lola took one look at the weather and headed straight back to his hide, but he's done quite well lately.
I'm popping to the shops today so see you later. TTFN

Yeah N, I won't be sharing that pic. I don't need the fallout. She's trying to diet.

Progress not perfection: you guys can see where this is going....need more plantage but you get the idea. The reservoir is 15" deep but i wanted surface growth so the reason for the basket and rocks. I'm sure there are thousands of ways to do this...

The wire will get folded, cable tucked under the plastic then a trip to the local parks and ponds to scarf up on some grasses & "stuff". We went last Friday and I kept what plants you see in a plastic bin for 3 days in the shade and it's either "not dead yet" or doing fine, I can't tell. LOL

So this is right next to Matt's enclosure...see? Well I don't know if other turtles are so programmed but Eastern Box Turtles are compelled to react to the sound of running water. I mean it controls them. If I want Matt or any other box turtle that I've had to come to me, all i have to do it to pour a stream of water loudly into their bowl long enough and they come...they can't help it.

This is driving him nuts! I'll probably find him blubbering in the corner in a week!

And well they are recommending a person eats strawberries because of the heat. They're hydrating and frozen sweetened cream is cooling.😉😋the waffle is a few carbs. It looks like a perfect diet to me.😊

It's rained here all day, apart from a few short dry spells in between showers some of which have been quite heavy - It's been lovely. The wind gusts were over 40 mph but nice and cool. My water butt is full again 👍

Looks great. Be careful with plants from other ponds though in case of spreading infection, should be ok if Matt can't get to them or if there's no fish involved.

It rained here the other day while the weather man on our local news said there was no rain anywhere in the state. That was pretty funny.

The contractors are coming to look at the floor on Thursday morning and I have cancelled the engineer on Friday morning.

Natrah
I hope it's not too much of an inconvenience for you. I suppose they can't lay a new floor until it's all dried out. Hopefully when your new machine arrives they'll be taking your old one for recycling which is less for you to worry about.

I remember back in the late 80s the weatherman (Michael Fish) replied to rumours that a hurricane was on its way by saying that no there definitely wasn't.
The next day after hundreds of trees and rooves were lost along with all sorts of other damage all over the UK he had to eat his words! 😏

I was living in central London then, and a really huge tree blew down in the garden of the ground floor flat - luckily, I was up on the top floor, so it didn't affect me( apart from more light getting in through my windows). The owners of that flat gave me a large slice of wood from it, which I hoped to make into a table one day, but never did !
