I'm sure there are other experiences but I've noticed that a large part of reptile communication surrounds "what is that you have to eat and do you own it or can I scarf up on some". I noticed with the lizards, they almost wanted some sign that it was okay to eat the food I put down for them back at my old house. My Spectacled Caiman on the other hand was instinct-driven, at least with me. Furry animals impart emotions because they have trained us well!

It's been 28 degrees Celsius (82 degrees Fahrenheit) here.

You cry about that??? LOL.....it's 89F & 88% Humidity outside today. Come get come!

LOL

Kerry's gone for a couple days so I'm just catching up on doing some stuff. I used the surplus dirt from the little water garden to fill in the divots caused by the tree guys that were here a few days ago. I found that we have some spongy areas of ground out back. Not septic field but saturation/liquification from the rains! I vid-called Kerry to show her but the connection was sketchy so she couldn't really see. This is what it looks like;

Maybe we had it wrong.....Calif isn't going to tumble into the sea....the East coast is!

We've had a cooler day today. It only got up in the mid 80's f and was overcast. The humidity is sky high though and it rained on and off to help that go over the moon. Sapphire ate good anyway even though he was inside all day.

Boiling here Lyn and I saw a field fire on the way to Rayleigh.

That's so sad I hate fires and the loss of wildlife they cause. 😥
Your side of the country is in for some very wet and stormy weather today - possibly a month's rain in a couple of hours with the risk of flooding because the ground is so dry and hard, Hopefully that will stop any fires spreading, but let's hope the flooding isn't too bad.
It's cooler here with a mix of clouds and sunshine. We're supposed to be having heavy rain during the night. It's much needed but preferably without any flooding.
Stay safe and dry Natrah.

Very spongy. Plant some trees, Jeff - they'll soak that up in no time.

I think we are going to have some rain now and then, over the next few days, but nothing very heavy - and temperatures at about 20 -ish. I do hope it won't be very heavy, as it will damage our lovely flowers.
This is outside our kitchen window.
