I was supposed to get a doctors opinion on my blood tests last Thursday, and I never got one. Now I have been waiting on an answer in a chat for 2 hours about whether or not the doctor has looked at my blood tests...
Our hospital has stopped calling if you don't have a bad outcome. The problem with that is when your doctor is ruling out things to help him decide how to proceed. But I suppose they call the doctor. Who knows? It seems like since COVID-19 they're too busy to get you in while you're sick. Thank God I did this time but I think it had to do with my misdiagnosis in the ER. It was 2 weeks before I actually got the antiviral for shingles.

It's great to have a relationship on mutual trust, and leaving some expectations at the door. After all were not joined at the hip, so to speak.
Vaca, you say . . .hum, what the heck is that . . 🤔 I remember one of those, years ago...
I haven't had a holiday since Lola adopted me - 11 years ago. I don't trust anyone to look after him well enough. They all think I'm too fussy with him. I could see him getting lost.
I could take him with me I suppose but my neighbours also keep me home because I worry they would use my absence to damage my plants etc. When I was at work that's when they would take chunks off my shrubs, or dump rubbish in the lane etc. it's awful not to have neighbours you can trust. ☹️

I might rethink my time for him to start going outside in the spring also. I just hate to start early because our days can be really warm or snow on the ground and in the same day. Then he's disappointed because he asks everyday to go outside once I start. He tries to stand up as tall as he can for me to pick him up. I don't like telling him no.
I used to be really fussy with Lola and wouldn't let him out until ground temps reach 70F but the last couple of years I've let him decide for himself. If he wants to go out I let him but if it's too cold he won't stay and will turn around and come back in to his hide.
Linda (Joe'sMum)used to have a heated hide outside for Joe ( a Greek tort) so that he had the run of the garden, in the daytime but still had a heat source. I'm miss Linda, I wonder how she is?

Good afternoon everyone!

Some time ago I posted about a sad incident in one of my local parks in which a young girl passed away after being crushed by a partially fallen tree. I am pleased to say that the other young girl who was seriously injured is now stable 😀.

Natrah
So pleased to hear that. Such a sad, tragic accident. They were just in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I gave up. Let's see if they get back to me or whether I will try again tomorrow.
Can you request a print out of your results?
We have the same problem here with getting hold of docs and if you phone you just get admin staff reading them to you so after I had blood tests the last time I went to the surgery and asked the receptionist for a copy of the results. With the help of Google they were easy enough to understand.

Its almost time for bed now, but I've just been catching up with everyone here.
It was lovely to have rain last night with more expected through the week. Tomorrow there should be heavier showers which will help the gardens and wildlife. I just hope we have normal weather patterns for the next few months.
It will be the start of meteorological autumn next week, so hopefully that means steady rain, but who knows what climate change has in stored for us.
Anyway nos da for now, take care.

That's good news Ray! 😄
How's Rose's back?
Rose's back seems to be doing ok.She will always have pain but it seems she has accepted the situation.
Unlike me I still fret over the idea I am going to have to deal with pain. For the rest of my life. I need to take it one day at a time. But easier said than done.

I miss her too. And Carol and Heather. If I had the right set up I would do the same as you for Sapphire. As of now I have to carry him in and out. That darn weather man! I got some more rain today. I was hoping you would get it for awhile. And I miss Mark. I wonder what he's up to.

Oh, I have the results (as in just the numbers) alright, I just wanted to see how I should proceed.

I wonder how Mark is too. Maybe he would like a smaller version of Mrs Sully - for a while anyway.😄

I guess the wound has to look worse before it gets better.
The way my leg hurts Cathie. I hope yours didn't hurt this bad. What looks like a weird color tan. Left of the dark purple is all part of it.20250827_155809.jpg20250827_155824.jpg
