I so hope that you have fun! I met him...yup...regardless of how you feel, when you get a chance to meet the president of the USA, you do it!....theres a story behind it but i volunteered online to be an usher at a dinner and met him the night before his 1st inauguration along with many of his biggest donors at the Candlelight Dinner. It's a cool experience because while we all put pants on the same way, some folks carry a presence. Bill Clinton was said to carry that same presence.
I went to DC when the Pope came in the 80's I think and it's an amazing experience to be with so many just like you! Very cool!
Wow!

My brother Joe got to present Obama's running mate with a painting back when they were both not president yet. It was pretty cool. Especially for Joe. I wonder if he kept the painting as it is just cartoon art.😊

I think you'd be more welcome than him.
Do you have your other little lap warmer with you yet? As crazy as it is with my little ankle biting yap trap spoiled rotten doggie, I wouldn't trade him for the world 😉😁 but he would be easy to give away. He's got everyone fooled.😊

Sorry for the rough weather. It was cool here a couple weeks ago but we're having a warm week in the 80'sF before expected rain later in the week. Im trying to get grass to germinate before the leaves fall. We get an extra helping of leaves here so it's a race to get the grass growing first.

I just saw a hummingbird at the feeders. We even saw a few in Maine at Elaines house way up there on Thursday!

Matt is all setup for his indoor winter home but I won't bring him in till outdoor daytime temps equal indoors...like 72 or so. I hate bringing him in but I love having him so close....and I don't worry about him. Yes, i do it for me, not for him but i can be honest with myself so I'm good. LOL
BTW- it's good that everyone is feeling better too!
I haven't seen the little hummingbird that's been coming today. That doesn't mean much. I may just have not seen him. It was interesting that I read yesterday that there's no certain time to take the feeders down because they'll migrate anyway. And you might miss one that needs some food. So keep them going as long as possible.

It was fine, thanks Natrah.
Rose and Nanay went to their usual Sunday lunch with their girlfriends. I played with the tortoises.
Rose was going to make me spaghetti. I suggested that she do it tomorrow. Since they had a big lunch. So we did the birthday cake thing. I never have a real celebration. When I was single, I always forget my birthday.
That's interesting that Rose cooks spaghetti for you. Does she have a recipe from the Philippines? For the sauce? Glad to see Nanay is with the two of you.😊 That sounds like a good birthday anyway. And a second day too.

Good morning all.
We have some respite from the wind and rain today before the next band moves in tomorrow.
I've been up really early today, and it's a good day to be out and about but I'm finding it hard to get going. I keep getting distracted by things that aren't important. So I need to be strict with myself and push myself out there - it's only shopping for goodness sake! 😄
Anyway this isn't helping so TTFN and have a good day.

Not yet. Tilly won't be arriving until about 22nd. I'm looking forward to some more walks.

She makes the sauce a little sweeter then most. In the Philippines they also put hot dogs in the sauce. I got Rose to switch up to Italian sausage. They eat pasta on birthdays. It means you will live a long life.

I've been wanting to learn how to cook plantains for about 25 years. I finally learned a little from Joe's stna from Ghana Africa. I keep bugging them for African food recipes. Come to find out they like a tomato sauce stew with plantain cooked in it.😁 I'm pretty sure Rose would know how to too. I finally got to taste one of their stews (sauce ) today with plantain cooked in it. It was so good!!!!!!?? so how do I do that! It would be good on rice or spaghetti. I feel like I'm finally getting somewhere.🤞🤞🐢🐢🐢

I try to cook Malaysian curries sometimes.

PS: Although I can't show Donald around myself I think he is enjoying all his banquets and his trip to Windsor Castle.
