Does anyone else have a kitchen trashcan that only fills 1/3 rd full because the bag falls in?
Who knew how easy this was? How old am i again? LOL

Yes the bag is the correct size so it's not too small as i had suspected. It fully conforms to the plastic trashcan.

Yes folks...jeffs getting a little trippy but hey, it works well!

This is what happens when we aren't challenged enough? LOL

Are you in California as well Marsha?
North East part of the San Francisco Bay Area. We have 2 good sized mountains in the Area, Mt Tamalpias @ 2500ft (786m), Just north of the Golden Gate Bridge and Mt. Diablo (the devil) @ 3800ft (1175m). I can see Mt. Tam across the bay from my front window...provides such beautiful sunsets🥰. Were about 370 Miles from Los Angles (593Km)

I feel this is overtly racist at some level but I'm "equal opportunity", I treat everyone the same...so to me it's just funny as can be!

Turn up the sound...and sure, laugh out loud and enjoy it. Just don't play it outside!

Yes we always go in naked. As for laying in the snow, most prefer to do it in a private property 😁 As for being good for the heart, ice swimming is also part of going to the sauna for some (if you have a sauna by the lake, or some go to public ice swimming spots or have ice swimming clubs), I myself have gone only a few times.
There are a lot of Findlanders or other ethnic groups from the Nordic region. In the upper peninsula of Michigan. Most have saunas. I have heard about jumping in the snow after coming out of the saunas

Oh yeah, I know that a lot of people from the Northern Savonia region migrated there and there are even some Finnish names in some places if I remember right.

Now she needs to try a braided bread. Her recipe would absolutely work 😉😊 I promise. It looks delicious. If you like a softer crust... very lightly sprinkle cold water instead of oil on the bread after it comes out of the oven and wrap it in a clean towel.😘

I setup the bird feeders a few feet away from the porch this year. The birds are a little nervous since they are closer to the screening but are slowly getting used to us being so close. I put up the feeder cam and the yellow sunflower seed dispensary! 1 seed at a time....no wonder birds are so small!

Kerry's 95 year old Dad is staying with us through Thanksgiving. My kids are going to their mom's so it looks like Kerry's son and girlfriend along with gf's dad and brother and anyone else walking down the street i guess. It's nice....relaxed. She came home so excited the other day with an 18lb bird that she paid a dollar for or something ridiculous like that. LOL

It's 32F out for the first time this season...burr.

Today I might fabricate a sled to haul a hot tub! After due diligence I have found 2 main methods. 1 is using straps to cradle and carry. The other is using a 4x8ft sheet of that hard corrugated plastic sheeting with a piece of cardboard on top then pulling the whole rig. It is a little more than that, you fold it over a 2x? and bolt it together then drill holes for your pull rope. I have a Craftsmen lawn tractor for additional pulling power. 600 lbs. ..its doable right? LOL
two by fours and multiple pieces of pipe for them to roll on. It's how they moved pyramid stones

I rigged up a sled so we will try that first but i love good ideas so thanks BD.

I forgot it's Sunday...only drug, retirement& fix all elixirs shows on TV this morning. Ah, Exploration Station just came on....better than the others. Too late to make retirement decisions, have my own drugs and don't believe in snake oil. What a way to run an airline!

Kerry's dad is staying a couple weeks. He got here last Sunday. He is 95 but as lucid and more active than most on this forum amazingly. It's a very different perspective we hear from someone who was born in 1930, before the Great Depression in the US. He served in the Army under Eisenhower and was our Nation's top shooter marksman. After, he was a very poor funeral director. When folks couldn't pay, he didn't charge. Now not all is rosy....he opened his own funeral business because he has a very innocent way of driving anyone working with him crazy in short order....kind of like one of those movie characters. There are few that could have worked with him....and I am not one of them. I would have fired him for "being stupid". Not that he really is, on the contrary he is college educated and I quit high school in the 10th grade. He is childlike in many ways, honest to a fault and each of his 4 kids call him everyday. Yes I'm both jealous and happy for him.

I feel pretty lucky to be able to have him hanging out with me this past week. He can't really help because he never did stuff and doesn't have a knowledge base to work from when doing a project but he's fun to talk to. He's also 95 so I'm not handing him the shovel to dig out a pool for Matt. I think he's still trying to figure out how I manage to get so much stuff done on so little sleep.

Kerry's nephew is spending the night tonight on his way to NY from college at University of South Carolina. The nephew used to play football...hes like 6-2 and 290 lbs and we have to feed it! 😆

Enjoy the day guys.

Good morning/ afternoon all
Long time no not see. I have quite a few posts to read to catch up but I hope you are all well.
I've been incommunicado via internet for a while as I broke my phone. My nephew tried to have it repaired but I ended up ordering as new one. When that arrived I opened the box and it was empty!!☹️😡
So had all the hassle of sorting that out. Of course you have to prove your innocence, rather than the company automatically accept responsibility but all ok in the end and I have my new phone. The battery on my laptop gave up a while ago so that wasn't an option - I've just been using a little basic phone.
I've also been busy helping my nephew sort out his move to a new flat. The authority are closing the block he's in now and they've built a new one . He's not actually going until the new year. But he has so much stuff to sort out and pack we've made a start as I don't want to spend Xmas doing it.
Anyway I'll make a start on reading to see what you're all up to. TTFN.

Dear Lyn,

Do you watch Celebrity Traitors on BBC 1? I can't wait for it to end so that I don't have to keep hearing about it!

Dear Lyn,

Welcome back! 'I'm A Celebrity' should be called 'I'm An Animal Get Me Out Of Here'! I can't stand the way they treat wildlife.
