Congrats my Finnish friend! I'm a amateur historian and read that "the snow moved" when USSR invaded Finland! I forget the #'s but it was something like 150k Fins vs 470k Soviets. The "Spirit of the Winter war" rose in your country to harrass and inject uncertainty to the Soviets. Very cool!I came home for the weekend as we are celebrating our independence day today. Some good food and watching the Festive reception at the presidents castle.
As usual there will be some demonstrations in the capital, a part of the tradition, and I will try to follow them too.
Counter demonstrations are usually healthy for a society. I was in Venezuela years ago in Caracas when the demonstrations began by Soldiers lining the streets with automatic weapons before allowing the opposition party the road itself to march. We were in a jewelry store and wasn't sure what was going on outside. It was a little unnerving.
They didn't allow foreigners to protest for obvious reasons. Here in the US we do and with predictable results for when foreign people have a different agenda but they find plenty of "human tools" who willingly selling out their own futures. I kinda wish I'd live to 100 so i can watch how that works out for them but that's mean isn't it? LOL
