Someday I might find one of her SundaysNatrah, you always show us the most tasty looking food! Yum.
I'm much like your Kerry . . I'm just a simple gal...caint help it....I looked just like Mr Fre this morning...
Oooh N got a Crown with lunch, I'm jealous!
A little bored today. It got cold again, Kerry's gone and I watched a college football game today with 5 missed field goals...like 27yd misses! 1 of those teams won that playoff game and they will advance AND they still need a FG kicker. I told Kerry on the phone...im going back to college!
All in fun....i wrapped her Christmas gifts today while she's gone. We aren't 25 so we aren't stupid at Christmas but i don't miss things throughout the year. Kerry will be 60 in April and regardless that her skin is gorgeous, she's mentioned the plexiderm products several times over the year. Despite my urging her to splurge on herself once in a while she won't buy them because they cost about double the cost of Silver. Let that sink in! Right? I didn't make a big deal when she told me.
Heck I spend hundreds at the weed store each month...i don't feel a bit bad about it but she can't let herself " waste" money. We have to work on that.

for us lazier folks they make elecvtric generators. My buddy has one that runs his mini fridge for longer than he can camp with his kids! The football only got worse last night in the pro NFL league. The team that I once tried out for got beaten by Philly. I didn't watch today. I played out in my shed and swapped out the vid card in the animal cam. I caught this big buck lurking last night!
I appreciate the heads up on the Yves stuff but I already took out a loan to get her plexiderm stuff and it's all wrapped and under the tree. Boxed with a bible so she can't guess! LOL
I did get us a couple things for next summers trip. We have a new road atlas and a National Parks book coming. I like traveling the old fashioned way and besides, there's no GPS or Nav working in your car in a lot of places that we plan on going to.
I also have been looking at using a 12v fridge/freezer for the trip. It is a little more complicated than buying a fridge and plugging it into the power outlet in the car. What do you do at night when the car isn't on? It weighs 65-70 lbs, do you really want to take it into a hotel room at night? Will it kill your cars battery.....what if we stay somewhere for a couple days and don't use the car....a whole slew of things to consider. We usually use a 100 quart base cooler with icepacks in the car and just take the smaller one into the hotels at night and I'd still want that convenience.
So after my typical "read the internet of things" for 12 hrs and learning about then discounting iso switches, circuit breakers and other gobbledygook I've come up with a relatively cost effect and safe system design.
I will buy a 12v 100AH lifepo4 battery to stow under the rear deck lid where there's a huge storage space. I'll install a 40 dollar dc/dc 10amp lithium charge controller under the hood somewhere and simply run a set of small wires like trailer wiring under the car to the rear and up to charge the second battery. Then I just connect the second battery to the fridge with it's connector. Total cost over the cost of the 400-500 dollar fridge is $165. and that size battery will power the fridge for FIVE days by itself without recharging so we should be good to go. It disconnects when the car is off and it cannot drain the main battery and cannot cause the alternator to burn out by current overdraw or cook the 2nd battery. Sweet solution!
Problems overcome.....I haven't made a decision yet so I'm not sure we're gonna do all this stupid crap yet but if you don't really understand what you are getting into, you will end up paying for it so I had to work this all the way through.
I can't really justify the price, it's kinda like a lawn robot.....it's cool and it makes life easy but I'll never justify it costing 4 times what my 15 yr old push mower cost and still worked perfectly after 15 yrs! Anyway, aren't you guys so lucky to hear of all my stupid stuff....? LOL sorry
