Good afternoon/evening all.
Alfie has come to stay for the week. He's made himself at home and is snoring away on the sofa.
My car is going into the garage tomorrow to see what the whining noise is. I think it could be something to do with the belt or at worse the alternator which might explain why thr battery isn't holding a charge.
I had to charge it again today. ☹️
I just hope it's not going to be too expensive.🤞
I'm just about to take Alfie for X little walk and then I'm going to have an early night. So nos da from me and I hope you've all had a good Sunday.
I understand car troubles. Here in California we have to "Smog" our cars every 2 years (Test for emissions) My old 96 Ford ranger has been notorious for failing, 8 yrs ago, I took it in and the Technician says the car computer does not have any stored history. Take it out, drive it for about 80 miles, all different areas (City/rural) and bring it back, I did as instructed, the tech said again, No History. Poop! I took it to my auto mechanic to figure out what the problem was. Turns out the plug/electrical connection to the computer was making and breaking. Every time it broke connection the history would get erased. Cost me nearly $400/220 sterling, but it passed. 2 years ago it failed again, seems the thermostat was not functioning correctly so the temp sending unit never told the computer that the engine was up to operating temperature. Another $400/220 sterling. So Monday I took it to the shop for them to "smog" it . . . and it passed w/o any problems, YAY!

I relayed to Kerry all of your compliments guys, she (and I) appreciate it. Kerry drove to NY yesterday morning at 6am. Her sisters best friends mom passed & her and her sister are really one normal person combined so they are pretty close. The service is this morning, the woman was 93. Apparently it was a good 93 too, not housebound or any of that.

My youngest came over yesterday with her boyfriend to how me her new-to-her car. She bought a '18 CRV EXL with only 19,000miles. I looked at it and it's very nice, not a flood-car or lipstick on a pig, etc. They went in the hot tub while I heated up the Sheetpan lasagna Kerry made and left for us.

A very nice afternoon at 70F outside! Thank the Lord!

'96? Ranger eh? 30 years.....very frickin cool lady! My respect grows!

On the upside, my buddy Lee just "did some things" on the Fed rules side of things so maybe those inspections will end soon?

Isn't it lovely to have a little dog visiting 🤗. Mr Fre likes to sit on my lap. He's like a little doggy blanket and warms me up. I'll 🤞 with you too that fixing your car doesn't cost much. Hopefully a belt.

No I think it was papa swan chasing off a rival
I watch Sunday morning on CBS News every Sunday. This Sunday they managed to capture a video of geese migrating South. They absolutely covered a large lake in Missouri resting up for the next flight. It was beautiful. Today I've seen a grackle in my front yard. They somewhat rest here yearly on their way south. Spring is springing 😊

You must have heard me Ms Cathie......but our geese are beginning to head North now! About a week or 10 days ago we began to notice that they are headed to the "birthing grounds" up North. We also had the first broods of baby squirrels out of the nests here a couple days ago. It's time....finally! LOL

I didn't fall asleep last night till 1am then I woke for the day at 3:30am but I managed to connect the 2 new downspouts on the porch to an underground pipe I put in a couple of years ago for the existing downspout on the rear corner. About 35' of trenching & corrugated piping so I was wrapped up inside of 3 hours. I'm glad it's done, I should have done it before winter.

It's time to figure out Matt's new outdoor home. I have all the space I want but I'm a little stuck of what I want to build using lessons learned over the past 4 years.

Kerry's coming home tomorrow so I have to eat all the stuff she left me in the fridge tonight so she doesn't worry that I don't eat enough. She's a wife-mom so she's constantly trying to feed me. It's cute.....and I do appreciate it. She got a delivery with more quilting tools but she has to rake the yard before she can play with her toys. We tow a hard line around here! I'll suggest that she start in front while I go ahead to connect those 2 downspouts in back.....then I'll grab a shovel in case she wanders back there......that's bad, right? LOL

Well, I had a crappy night, Woodie my lil Terrier who was diagnosed with congestive heart failure last june, has been doing very well. We had a follow up appointment with his internist, last week, and she was so happy with his turnaround. Last couple of days, he has lost some energy, and is breathing faster. Last night we all went to bed, he was breathing 45 to 50 BPM, and labored. I got up @ 11pm, and took him to the Emergency, got home at 1am. They put him in a oxygen kennel, and were giving him MORE diuretics, estimate was for $4400 to $7700. Left him there over night after saying my "I love you's", and "see you in the morning". Got a call from the hospital, he has not really responded to the diuretics, and still has breathing problem. They have to be careful about the diuretics, as it can help the heart, but also hurt the liver. I think it is getting to the point where I will have to tell my love . . . I'll see you soon, 😭20160314_172804.jpg
