Love the historical pictures, Natrah. Out west (USA) stuff like that is hard to come by. Sure we have some historical locations, but frequently they are left to neglect, then it gets too expensive to try and save it, and earthquakes are a major issue. Old buildings need to be seismically reinforced for safety.
BTW< love the colorful spring scarf you are wearing...

Thankyou Marsha. Yes we hear about the earthquakes there. I just want to say that I have many happy memories of Tilbury Fort including myself and my brothers being on a boat for the first time with dad rowing!

How beautiful and calm those waters look.
Peaceful and calm….
Not at ALL what my day was like today. 🤕
Thank you so much for sharing that Natrah.
That gave me a little smile after a really trying day.
😘🥰😍
Sorry that you had a tough day, today hopefully will be better for you C.

Winter is leaving slowly. Tonight it's going to drop into the 20's again so we have to move Kerry's flowers into the garage or cover them. Hey Big Guy, we are DONE with winter, make it warm! LOL

So my well saga continues. I removed the old well pressure tank and replaced it and still no difference so I threw in the towel and called the guy that installed the well. Ben is coming today......its embarrassing but i learned long ago, admit when you don't know something and get the talent that does. Ben the Well Driller will be my teacher today!

So, Jeff, how deep is the well, and what is the projected flow rate?
Reduced pressure in the house?

Dear Chef,

I hope you're okay. It wasn't that neighbour was it? Hope they're on their way out. When my friend came round on Sunday she told me that she thought some of her neighbours were drug-dealing and afterwards I thought that for all know they could be my former neighbours. Anyway I texted the neighbours details to her and I am awaiting her response. If these are the same people I will call the police because it is safer for me to do so. I hope you've had a better day.

Goodnight

Natrah

Reduced pressure in the house?
So Mr Ben called @5pm to reschedule since he didn't make it today. Thursday is the new day.

I think the well is around 100' deep, I use 10gpm when running sprinkler zone #5. It has 2 huge 1" golf course sprinkler heads.
System ran perfect since installed. Our high pressure is/was fine and i think all that happened was a bladder failure in the tank but I messed up the setup of the pressure switch so even though I replaced the tank it's full of jeffrey-voodoo and needs Ben the Well Shaman to bail me out! LOL I fubared it, i admit.

I was hoping to cash in this morning on the renaming contest for Kharg island....my pick was "Smoke on the Water" but they have scraped together a brains worth of common sense....dang...that was vacation money.

Matt's winter home was moved from his prime spot for Easter dinner. Now he's hypnotized from watching the light show eminating from my computer box on the floor. He's waiting for me to build his home but Lowe's let us down again.

I went to customer service desk at Lowe's Middletown Delaware to cancel 2 screen doors that were supposed to be delivered a week or 2 ago. The dude Ashley at the counter was unable to help. I bought the stuff from this store online but because they "farmed out" the doors, i have to call a different store. Really?
Orrrrrr
"DISCOVER, please don't pay them 130 bucks."
Seems easier.....then dealing with Men named Ashley who can't handle things at his job. LOL i get a free pass too because im old and don't give 3 ____'s.

Go see Dr chiropractor later today...my back/hip is still lighting up my life....he will help.

Enjoy the day guys, gonna be cool here today...burr.

Good morning/afternoon all and belated Easter wishes to you.
It's a beautiful day here, the high winds of the weekend have passed and it's very warm.
I've been in the garden sorting out some junk to take to the tip and Lola has popped out to keep an eye on me but not stayed long. He's been enjoying some fresh dandies for the first time this year. So I've also been out and about icking those from safe fume free places.
I have to take my nephew to collect his new tv now so TTFN and I hope you're all enjoying some lovely spring weather in your corners.

Mr Fre got to go outside today. He had to wear his Santa cape because he recently got scalped. It's the only outfit I've been able to come up with that'll fit him. He's been wearing it every since his haircut. He gets nervous without his teddy bear hairIMG_20260408_130739955.jpgIMG_20260408_130731737.jpg. Sapphire will get to go soon for the first time this year. I shured up his outdoor enclosure today. It's actually kinda early but he thinks it's spring 🧐 so...

My nephew's time with the Air Force in CA is coming to an end and they return home at the beginning of May. This week they are in Hawaii and yesterday he sent me a picture of a large turtle basking on a beach.

It's enjoying a rest even though there's been more rain than sun the last few days.

Good morning/afternoon all.
What a difference a day makes.
Yesterday it was like a summer day but today we're wrapping up again and there's drizzle about. It's not time to pack the winter woolies away yet. I don't mind though we don't need another dry spring this year, it makes you appreciate the nice days more.
Have a good Thursday!

Arg, I just spent 3.5 hrs at the DMV (DVLA) yesterday.
This is the year for change, and a lot of exhaustion.
Just before my Penny passed in 24, I was looking ahead, and suggested she sign off on the title of her car.
She looked at me like I was going to sell it out from under her, I just wanted to be prepared for the inevitable. Well, Penny did pass, and I have had a car sitting in my drive way, that I hate to drive.
It is a 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse with leather seats, and 51000 original miles on it.
It is like sitting in a hole of a race car. The bottom of the window ledge is at, or above my shoulder height, very uncomfortable position to have your arm resting on it.
Well, 2 weeks ago I had a new Heating system put in (another story) and one of the installers commented on Penny's car, mentioning he need to buy a car for his son who is going to Sac. State. This installer had contacted me regarding selling it, So . . . . yesterday I decided I would explore Hell (AKA DMV, DVLA). Info person at first step was rude and dismissive, like she had no time to talk. She pushed some papers at me and gave me a number and the "were done here" look. Took papers realized I will need odometer reading, which I did not have. I decided to run home get the reading and come back. got back 5 min after my number was called, got a new number waited for 75 min, handed in filled out papers, got a bunch of questions, and after paying $175, had started title transfer. Stopped off at my Insurance Agents office, got temp Insurance, Now need to call today and get a smog appointment. Exhaustion!
Oh, but it was beautiful, warm sunny day! Rain is supposedly coming this weekend, too.

That's a heck of a lot of hassle! I think it's far less complicated here - st least I don't remember it being so much trouble when we had to sell my Dad's car after his death. Good luck with the sale.

Dang MG, that's the stuff character is made from....enduring the BS!

My well saga has come to a close. Ben the Well man came out and was just as baffled as I was....Sweet Vindication! Of course the submersible pump needed replacement. He switched them, set my desired pressures to 47-70psi. The pump was only 30 feet down or so. He was done inside 90 minutes from the time he arrived.
He came, he saw, he charged!
$2400 (cash or check only)all in for a 3/4hp pump...in case you are curious. I am very happy to pay the man for his work and all that I gleaned from him. In truth, i learned enough that i will never need to call again but being old and lazy, i probably will call.

So the past 2 weeks taught me again;
The Lord givith and the Lord taketh away.

Remember that tax refund? 😆

Enjoy the day guys!
