Good morning/afternoon all.
It's pretty miserable here again with cold winds and rain. It is supposed to warm and dry up for the weekend though🤞.
I spent 4 hours at my nephew's flat today. He finally bought a tumble dryer so I waited for delivery.
Blimey you need a master's degree in technology these days to use a modern one. It's all digital, with wi -fi controls for remote operation, why the heck people need that I don't know! 🤷. It took us a little while to work it out. I told him he didn't need to pay for installation as you just plug it in - boy was that a mistake! Anyway it's up and running and so far working ok.
My tumble dryer belonged to my mum and was bought in the 80s.
It has 3 controls - full heat and half heat buttons and a dial for the time. Still works without any problems. They don't make 'em like they used to!!😀
I hope you're all having a good day. TTFN.
I actually managed to find a new(about 5 years ago 🙃 maybe more) dryer without too much mumbo jumbo crazy Internet computer crap on it I was so happy 😁 hang on to that dryer. They're so hard to find now.

Wow, pretty nice, Ray. I had the frame of my 58' Tiger T-110 Powder coated years ago.
I think Jeff.K gets the Heebie Geebies and just has to get out there and explore. I don't have the $$ or the time/ability to do that, so he's pretty lucky in that aspect...
Nothing can trivialize the frustrations of Mankind more than Lucas Electrics. It's one of those " if you know, you know".

Lucas pioneered the 1st and still only method for finding a fault in the electrical system. The smoke billowing out is the leaking electricity! Tickle the Amals and have fun with that bike girl. 1 thing about an early Trumpet owner....they are all master mechanics if their bike runs!

Sorry you guys have those sucky dryers too. Today was laundry day so 3 loads=6hrs of drying time. My old one would have had 3 loads in 100 minutes. Im getting old...i ain't be having time for that!

Hum, I dry a full load of wet towels in about 40 minutes. Check your exhaust ductwork....

I have the side open on my dryer since it started squealing. A little belt dressing shut it up while I wait for delivery of a new belt. I will repair this dryer as much as I can until I can't. It is big and does a great job

It is a 1974 yamaha RD350. @jeff kushner here on the forum was kind enough to give it to me.(I think)🤣🤣
Actually it was very very kind of him. He even hauled it to me from Maryland to FL. He stopped at @Maro2Bear house in Maryland and picked up Mark's sulcata Ms.Sully also. So Ms.Sully is enjoying the Florida weather now. All on his dime, he wouldn't let me pay for anything. Gas, hotel or renting a uhaul trailer. The man is really wealthy. 🤣🤣
It looked like this View attachment 400982
Now this View attachment 400983
And hopefully like this View attachment 400986
Good to not see you Ray! Hope you and Rose are well.

Yes, their nickname was "Lucas, Prince of Darkness", as in . . just as you need it it goes out. Years ago when I first got the MC, I had no clue, now, knowing what I know, it is pretty easy to figure out and repair. And an Amal carb, is also very simple, have had very few problems with both.

See folks....Another Master Mechanic made by Triumph! It's ok, Harley owners, the ones that actually know how to work on their bikes are pretty good mechanics too. Don't feel embarrassed. Wonder why Kawasaki mechanics are so bad? They don't get as much practice!

I've been waiting 25 years for this moment! 😅😅😅😅😅

In that world, we tease a lot but we're all cut from the same cloth, regardless of how you wear it!

Ray of all people here knows I'm not nor do I ever want to be wealthy. I usually don't like those people. I just figure why not spread the pain of a Vintage restoration to someone that can't catch me! I like doing cool things...both were very cool things to do.

Our rig of bikes & basket was perfect going to the beach and nothing moved. The backup camera hates the cargo basket. The alarms go off and the car will actually stop on its own scaring the heck out of us the first time. Thankfully we learned that if you hit the button to silence the alarm, you can now back up again. LOL The cooler ran fine, battery solution was so easy and worry free. I think we are set for Fla next week!
