I am stuggling to tell if my tortoise is constipated. He used to poo all the time in the bath and in his enclosure a noticeable amount, however recently i have noticed he doesnt seem to be pooing as much. It is hard to tell because before i have caught him eating a few poos ¬_¬. i cleaned his table out the other day and there were signs that he had gone and only a few small ones. Hes eating fine. When i do bath him, it does look like he is straining but then its just urates which come out. I dunno whether a trip to the vets is needed. He doesnt seem dehydrated, i bath him 3-4 times a week because i dont really see him drink out of his water dish, he just crawls through it.
I mainly feed him on rocket, dandies, mixed lettuces and romanie hearts. When hes in the garden he does nibble of weeds etc but not a big flower eater.
Any ideas ?
