Hey guys, I recently bought a humidifier to use for my tortoise. Out of stupidity I forgot to check if I needed warm or cool mist. I'm stuck with the one I bought which is cool. Is this okay to use?

No, you really should have a warm air. Cool will be fighting against the warmth you are trying to keep in there. Humid and cold is a sick tortoise. You should be able to return it.

When I first got my tortoise, I used reptifoggers and considered vaporizers etc. The real truth is that you get far better results just dumping some water on your substrate. The top layer immediately begins to evaporate off, so your tortoise is never "stuck in the mud" and this raises the humidity perfectly without fogging everything up.
