The cooters are starting off the season breeding.
No babies last year, so hopefully I get lucky.
Not the best species for everyone, but if you have a pond I highly recommend them. Personable, cohabitation well with others turtles, even influencing others to eat vegetation.
I've told people in the past if they want to get another turtle to eat veggies, put them with a cooter. I don't know how this monkey see monkey do process works , but even my terrapin will eat plants after hanging around the cooters.
