Crazy Scutes

My neighbor brought over 4 of these little guys she found in her pool. This one little guy has some interesting scutes.

What is happening with them? Are they just visiting, or are they yours now?

I will take them to my ponds in the country, I have plenty of Turtles and Torts. I guess I have the rep around my area and people always bring them to me.

That zigzag pattern is quite common in morph RES, especially in what are referred to as "pastels." It is thought to be linked to high incubation temperatures, which means that turtle should end up being a big female
