Okay started setting up a 55g for my hatchlings today. Substrate is 50/50 topsoil and spaghum moss. 2 hides and some tortoise table approved plants but it seems too crowded and I dont know where to put their food dish. Its currently on top of a hide with a ramp of substrate leading up there but seems like a bad idea to me. Oh and it will be moved and have the lights and stuff set up im just short so I have the tank on the floor.

Should I just pull the petunias and put them outside and just give them as a snack and set the tile for basking on that end?

What kind of tortoises? Make sure to read both substrate bags and confirm they do not have chemicals added. Most ground sphagnum moss out my way has chemicals added. Invest in an temperature gun and make sure you have proper temperatures on your basking and cool sides.

Unless the potted plants are organic, they have likely been treated with pesticides and fertilizer.

New enclosures are fun!

They are sulcata hatchlings. Their lights get here monday I was just getting started. I think im gonna move two of yhe plants to their table so they have more room. And everything is certified organic.
