I am in Cali, norcal specifically and I am looking for cypress mulch. Does anyone know where I can get this stuff at a store?

Closest I got was the organic orchid bark for $3, but it has fir bark in it.

Fir bark is fine. Its the bark from aromatic oil type trees like pine that you want to avoid. In the past I used orchid bark (fir) exclusively for my baby tortoises...for years!

Most other bark chips or hardwood mulches are good as well and may be easier to get locally. Avoid pure pine, redwood, and cedar if you are concerned about the oils and the tortoise's health.

Harley, only place I could find it in calif is pet stores . Petco in reptile section. Think its a product of zoo med. It's pretty expensive for the small quantity you get
