Well if I don't have enough problems..Tony had diarrhea today..He is health in all aspects..But it has been cooler and rainy lately so they have been kept inside and fed romaine, collards, escarole, mustard greens, dandelion greens ,spring mix ,carrots and Mazuri..

Funny thing is that it was pouring here today..So I was working in the enclosure removing the hay(see other post)..So I left the enclosure door open to the yard and Tony took off..I watched him in the yard from inside eating grass like he was starving..After about 45minutes of watching him eat I braved the weather and brought him in..I have never seen him eat that much that fast..

As soon as I brought him inside he had Diarrhea.. I wonder if all the Vegetables lately may have caused it?? It and if the need for grass even through the rain was to help him feel better??

Thoughts..

Romaine and carrots as an increased part of the diet can cause loose stools....and if he wants to brave the rain and chow down....let him, the grass is good..and it will help to firm up the stool plus so much better for them than grocery store goodies...also, if it is raining the grass is a good source of additional moisture/water.....so good job :D
