I've been informed that my 6" 6 year old Leo is a little small for her age. Does anybody have any diet suggestions that will put healthy, fast growth on her?
Lots of natural grazing, sunshine, Mazuri, cactus pads, good hydration. They will all grow at their own pace. So you can't compare, and whoever told you she was small for her age, should have also said, that they all grow at their own pace and some will grow larger then others anyway.
6 inches for 6 years old isnt too bad, she is a little smaller than she should be but all tortoises grow at their own pace. If you want her to start eating the mazuri mash it up in her favorite foods and once she gets the taste for it then she will never turn her nose up again at it.
Nessie: There are some members here who sell it. Just do a search in the "for sale" threads.
Carson: You can moisten it with fruit juice.
Some of my tortoises won't eat it either. So now when I'm feeding babies, I always moisten some Mazuri and mix it in with their greens to get them used to the smell and taste of it.
