Different growth rate?

I wasn't picking on you muddled.
I was just poking fun.
I tried to make the "YOU" in "If you think" bold but I couldn't get it to work.
Because in the end it is YOU that must make the choice about haw best care for your tortoises.
I also would think that a 4'x5' enclosure with separate feeding spots would be sufficient territory for 2 small tortoises.
As I said before, I have had siblings grow at vastly different rates in separate nurseries but under identical conditions.
I have seen the largest in 1 tank grow to 3 in. in 3 months & the largest in another only reach 2 1/4 in. in 3 months & both were 1 1/8 in. when they hatched.
Again I'm not picking on anyone just trying (feebly) to point out that all you can do is,
Try to eliminate potential problems with your husbandry & that there might not be an actual problem. Genetics play a big part in how our tortoises react to our methods of caring for them.
I doubt any of us will be around long enough to figure out all the answers.
If we are, We'll most likely be too old to remember what they were!
