It's come to one of those days again,

I have been offered a parra is and a Russian adult for 150euro, what do I do? :(:(:(
Taking into account I only have the one tortoise garden although I still have the large cage. My head was saying no but yes came out of my mouth,

He is bringing them in tomorrow for me to have a look at.

Ha! Your husband and my wife could sure swap some stories... :)

How did we all get to such a point that we cringe when someone offers us something wonderful for free? Well in your case, Yvonne, 150 Euros, but still a good deal...

I don't know what I would do in your case. Just thinking about it is tensing me up.

I won't tell the hubby that I have to pay for them, I can use the excuse that they have been left for me whilst the owner goes on holiday, after a while I say " the owner hasn't come back now what do I do? I can't just not look after them"

I haven't used that excuse for a while...

Well, whatever tactic works for you...

My wife once told me that since she had her horse when we met, I had to accept all the expenses and hassles associated with him, now that we are married. As soon as the words left her mouth the lightbulb in my head went on! DING! Guess who had tons or reptiles and tortoises when he first met his bride to be? :D I happily, but subtly, capitulated that argument. She had me beat... hahahahahahaha. If she only knew then the HUGE can 'o' worms she had just opened...

Now I just tell her that we are getting ANOTHER herd of tortoises and she has to accept it since I had them, and bought, sold and traded them, BEFORE we even met. Now my limiting factor is finding the time to take care of them all.

You could always hire me.

as a general rule since I do my own rescue work, I don't buy them, not knocking anyone just saying how I do it, in fact I am getting a big 12 inch soft shell this weekend as soon as it comes in.

Ok so here's the deal, I didn't have to make the decision because his wife wanted to keep them, I did get to see them though, she was beautiful, her beak was too long and she had a lump with a black spot, we tried to sedate her but it was impossible, we gave her as much as we could and the cow still didn't loosen up..

So I told him to go to his reptile vet in Madrid and get her checked, she did do a poop and she has worms...
