Alyce I agree. I wonder if they even took into concideration that she needs her back legs to dig a nest, or if she can even pass eggs. Glad to see they have helped this female but at the same time sad to see her matting and all the problems it could cause for her. Then again who knows maybe she will just spoot them out ontop the ground, some torts do.

Too bad they don't know why she has the loss, it could be something that would lead to problems even with her just moving eggs out of her body, let alone the lack of nesting ability. I am sure nobody really thought out the what ifs on her reproducing.

Says the male is after her, but not that they actually bred. Wonder if the male can even actually get into her for mating or if the "wheelchair" would hamper him, maybe even cause him troubles.
