Ok I'll aim for way higher humidity then!
You want to do this by poring water in the corners of the substrate. The goal is to have a damp underlayer and a drier top layer. What kind of air vents does your vivarium have? Are the lights mounted inside or outside? These are things that affect humidity.

I thought the humidity was meant to be general? I mean it'd make sense, my tort burrows a bit.

Vents are mesh like with holes in them.

Lights are in the viv, no mesh too, all wood.

For the humidity, you do definitely want to maintain it around 80 for a tortoise as young as yours, you should be seeing condensate building on the glass, your closed chamber viv will be able to do this with the correct maintenance🙂

^^this is the best advice to do so! I take it you’re viv has been sealed well?

tape over the vents of your enclosure from the outside, don’t worry about tortoise getting enough air! I promise you these set ups aren’t air tight, and when your opening it to do daily husbandries you’re creating more than enough air exchange! It’ll go a long way in helping to maintain the humidity😊

I've raised the humidity :)

My viv isn't sealed so pouring water is not an option, but I don't mind having to go about spraying every now and then.
I might need a pressure sprayer, I have so far a small spray bottle and it's pain to it this manually.

If not sealed, you could pop some lining under your substrate? Amazon has cheap pond lining😊

Mine always has to dig next to a wall... Maybe he thinks he can get under it 😅
I know this one a little too well! 😂 Mine tends to sleep in the corner of his basking platform. He'll keep scratching at the walls surrounding him from time to time until he becomes a rock and sleeps :)

LOL! I forgot to mention how mine will burrow deep his head inside the substrate and eat it there and there 😂 He'll also run towards my fingers and toes to eat them, I let him nibble on them as bites are light. It can get frustrating when cleaning out poopers and food remnants, or when cleaning out his wee wee stains off the slate ☠️

😂😂gosh your lucky you get light nibbles! Luckily our red foot has never bit but I was hand feeding my friends Russian once and he accidentally bit my finger, he drew blood! Then seemed only interested in going after me and ignored the leaves, must’ve got a taste for human flesh🤣🤣
