Hey guys,

I am currently medicating two of our tortoises. Unfortunately we have to force feed them and you can tell they really don't like it. My question is will they remember later on how we force fed them? I don't want them to think we are the bad ones, but if they don't get their medication they could get worse.

Yes they will remember it, but they will also get over it. Don't feel guilty. They will know it if you do.

They remember, but they're easily distracted. If Joe's anything to go by, they're not great at multi-tasking. One thought at a time is enough! :D

A good handful of something tasty and they'll forget they ever disliked you!

The other day I called Bert Scooter...

He seems to have forgotten the whole ugly incident. Glad that's behind us now...

Of course they have memory....however holding a grudge is more a human species trait...:D

Try telling vets that! Many of their patients of all species bare grudges! :D

...not true.

They can't remember where I put the TV remote? Dang!

I wish I could teach them to go get the mail, it's a long walk down my driveway and an even longer walk back up the hill! I tried, but they kept getting distracted by all the weeds in field along the way.

Yeah I believe they can remember.

Did you point out that they're little slackers and that you're VERY disappointed?

I do but they just look back at me with a blank stare as if to say: "Yeah so, when are you going to feed us".

I get no respect in my own house!

Sound like you have teenagers! :p

Yeah them too (teenagers)!
However I do think at one of our dogs actually likes me and my wife at tolerates me (somebody has to take out the trash and shovel the snow)!
