Hi to all!!
My wife send me a photo a moment ago of dobby and what it looks like she is bleeding from the big scale on top of her head.

Dont know if she is peeling or hit something. She just found her like that.
My wife is giving Dobby a warm soak right now to clean it up and see whats going on there.

Do red foots renew scales or renew skin or something like that??
This is the first time this happens

How sharp is the top of her shell? I've read that can happen and sometimes a small area may need to be filed to dull the edge.

Here are the photos after the soak:

That seems like a minor injury. It should heal up just fine, I think. After reading the thread with the Russian with a hole in its head, I don't think you have much to worry about. Just keep it clean :D

Thats what I thought!
I thinks is a minor cut do to getting down from the plants she likes to climb on to eat from.

Probably getting down from it she hit herself with her shell.
BTW she is a plant bully. If she cant climb on, she find a way to knock it down to eat it.

Its no big deal. My Russians constantly bleed from around scales. They're rough around their "toys" and obstacles, so a little drop isn't bad.

Thanks! I feel more calm now. My wife it taking Dobby to the Vet on Saturday for her 6 month check-up so she will ask the Vet to look at it.

Well she is doing fine. No more bleeding and now it looks like a stain in the scale so I believe is healing ok
