So i have had my sulcatta for a few days now and i have noticed something kinda odd. He has 2 hides in his enclosure, one is undera fake log, plenty of room to get in and out, the other is a plastic shoebox with a whole side cut out of it for easy entrance.

He seems however to prefer to walk up to the wall of the cage and just go to sleep like a parked car... Is this normal?

Yes. You can try to turn the openings of the hides away from human view...after all, the hides are for hiding in so nothing sees you...lol...where are the hides located? I mean, are they in spots too cold or too hot??? Have you tried different places in the enclosure as well?

one is in a warmer area and one is a bit further, the shoebox is in the warmer corner, it's hard to get proper readings in there but it is black and should be absorbing some heat. The other one is actually a bit more central in the tank but you can definitely get out of sight in there. I will move a few things around to keep things interesting for him soon
