Does anyone now if Drosera Capensis is toxic to torts? Its also known as "Cape Dew." I noticed that its being sold at the 99 cents store. Its a carnivorous plant. If its not toxic I'm going to try to use it to get rid of gnats in my hatchling's enclosure.

Here's a pic of one I found online.

Not sure if its toxic to torts or not, but you can always put the plant where the torts cant get to it.

I don't really know, but it might be that the sticky substance that catches the bugs might be toxic. I tried to research it but no toxic/non-toxic info came up.

Thanks Andred82Vert an Yvonne. From what I've read, the sticky stuff drowns the bug rather than poisoning it, so I'm hoping the sticky stuff is not poisonous to torts, but I just can't find any info on it. I tried searching online for a good hour and couldn't find any reliable sources saying it was either toxic or nontoxic.
