i think i've had her 9-10 years by this point. i soak her twice a week for 40mins. should i do three times a week?

i dont think my vet checked for parasites (the recent one). only a physical checkup. i hope it's not parasites.

by the way, side update: i see her pushing a bit more while walking with her legs- instead of dragging. this is mostly when she climbs rocks. she's still the same when on a flat surface, so i just assume she will be like this for a while (dragging back legs.) thankfully she's very active and loves to eat. i hope my previous care (which was horrible) will not impact her as much in the future. 😢
You could possibly take a sample into the vet for testing if the diarrhoea continues, you don’t have to take her in for that, just the sample and you should get results within a week or so, if her count is high they may want to worm her🙂

food: i'm doing a lot less cucumber. i'm also adding a handful (about 2/3 of the salad greens in first picture) of the seeded testudo mix. i'll give it to her in the morning as it's 1 am where i am.

i forgot to ask, can this worm issue be resolved on its own without antibiotics or vet?

she is refusing to drink water... for the past few weeks,

How do you know she isn't drinking water?

There is no such thing as too much soaking, plus, if you are worried about her hydration, soak her every day for a few days. It helps with hydration.

she completely ignores her water bowl.... i'm pretty much there all the time when i soak her and i don't see her "drink". 😢

It depends on the stool test results.
If her count is too high then it’d best be treated but you can see if the diet change helps first🙂
i'll see if less cucumber helps. i'll soak her tomorrow. (later today, it is 4 am) it seems that if it doesn't, i will have to call the vet.

i believe a general checkup is required before any other work, and the testing is probably in the hundreds... i'll estimate $300-$400 total 😂 unfortunate pricing but it's okay since i love her

I wonder if you could first just take the stool sample in to get it tested with out them doing an examination on the tortoise?

the vet is closed today... I saw that she had diarrhea today. Should I try feeding some mazuri? Will that firm up her poop?

She’ll be alright till then, yeah I’d try the Mazuri, might help🙂
alright! i did give it to her. she has been eating less these days. 😢 particularly today, though i think it might be because she hates mazuri. not sure about the past days though. i'll try feeding her favorite (hibiscus) if i can get my hands on it

Could you post a picture of the diarrhia, please. It might tell us more about what is going on if we could see it.

Did that happen before or after you started feeding her cucumbers?

That looks like what mine does sometimes when I give her watermelon. I think it is actually normal for something like melon or cucumber, especially if the tortoise didn't eat much of the green leafy stuff or pellets, and focused on the "candy" of cucumber.

I think it is the cucumbers. My view is better out than in and you can now stop cucumbers and return to fresh leaves.
