lately i don't feed cucumber. rarely only. few days ago i thought she was constipated so i gave her a slice. i don't know if that's what made her poop. haha but if it's bad, i'll stop

Certainly cut back on the cucumbers for a couple more weeks. Her body needs time to balance and since their systems are really slow, it takes a little time.

I would continue with the same routine for at least two weeks and see how it goes. You can also spray water over greens or fine chop them and pour a little water in the food dish to help with hydration.

yess i'm already doing that!

will eating hibiscus leaves, baby lettuce, raddicio, kale, and frisée cause constipation?

i've been sneaking tiny bits of kale into her food. she likes raddichio, which i thought was a cabbage my whole life, haha. i'll see if i can grow some. i've been looking into dandelions but forgot it's winter. The testudo mix that i've been growing has been eaten by snails. really unfortunate

I would stop the cucumber and revert to normal healthy diet. Maintain the soaks and do not panic if no urates or poo. They take along time to digest and if it does not arrive in the disk it will be in the enclosure and you can spot clean. It looks a healthy tort so just focus on the set up and providing a nice life for it.

hi! i've already stopped the cucumber. i'm just worried because i haven't seen a single poop in the enclosure! i watch her pretty closely so i don't think she's pooping then eating it... hopefully she poops soon.

i also assumed that things passed through their system much faster. (a few days at most) since once, i gave mineral oil for constipation and it came out the next day. similarly, i gave some pumpkin, and the next day her poop was a bit more orange.)

Food can stay in their digestive tract for weeks. Laxatives expedit this process.

i temp gunned her shell.. it's 72 degrees. it's currently 1 AM. i have 6 different thermometers that are reading totally different ambient room temps. two day 67-68, the house says 63. two others say 64-65. one says 60.

the soil temp is 65 away from from CHE. under the CHE it is 80.
