there was mold growing in a moist section of the enclosure... i had accidentally left a small plastic dustpan on top of the coco coir + orchid bark. The area under was very moist. When I lifted it up, there was mold. I didn't get a picture, but it was white.

What should I do?

I would remove a clump of moldy substrate. If substrate is very damp, you can stop pouring water for a while.

oh no! she passed a stone. it is not hard, but it is compact. it felt hard at first but broke into segments that felt softer when i squished it. it's not "sandy", but it has a LITTLE grit. it is flat, not round. i don't think she had difficulty passing it, but it came out in one piece so it is decently hard.

please help!! i am soaking more. should i change her diet?

I guess, it's an older deposit coming out after you started soaking her more.

is there a way to ensure that she will not pass any more stones other than soaking? i understand that these are like rocks and soaking/hydration helps them pass, but they won't be absorbed.

How can i make sure that she will never get these types of hard urates ever again?

i am worried because i don't want her to get blocked up and become sick.

should I change her diet and add some cucumber so she is better hydrated? This week and part of last, I forgot to soak her (it's been 4 days. Usually I soak every 2.)

i think i will give her cucumber for half a week. and see what happens. only a little bit. I never see her drink from her water bowl. her food dries out before she can get to it ... haha. i am trying to keep her hydrated.

i feel very bad. i realized while typing this, that her main source of water must be her soaks, and I forgot this week. I will have to do better.

I think you are doing what's needed to prevent stones from forming: hydration (every 4 days for an adult tortoise is okay), proper diet and exercise.
