We brought our box turtle inside around this time last year and planned to do the same this year. However, he has already dug down and begun brumation. His appetite had decreased over the past few weeks, and I should have paid more attention to that, but he ate a bite if food within the past week before brumation. I'm concerned about the possibility of undigested food being in his system. Should I bring him out of brumation?

I wouldn't worry about it. They don't slow down immediately after tucking in. The food should digest and go out just fine.
