Edible violet

We have violets growing wild in our yard. How do I know if they are the correct species to feed my torts? What species is accepted? Are any alright?

Thank you for that information. I assume the plants in the UK are similar enough to the species we have here in the US. The pictures looked similar, but without seeing the plant in its entirety it is difficult to key out to ID.
