Hello Tortoise Forum! My western hermann tortoise laid 3 eggs 10 days ago, and this is how they look like now with the use of one of my flashlights. Can anyone tell me which of those look fertile enough, I'm more worried about my third egg though. I keep them between 27-33C and 80%

Congratulations, however I don't have any idea on the eggs. An expert should be able to help you soon. Welcome to the forum

It is too early to tell if those eggs are fertile. You normally cannot see any blood vessels in fertile eggs until 21 days after incubation is started.

Thanks for the reply! I heard from other sources that I should be able to see some signs after the first week, thats why I posted this thread to be sure. My female tried to lay her eggs for 2 weeks non stop though, I dont know why it took so long for her but Im guessing that the eggs might have started a little bit developing if they stayed so much, I really dont know.

I believe that your other sources are mistaken or that you misinterpreted what was said. Other than the "chalking" of an egg, I don't know anything that one could see within the first 7 days. Your eggs are not "chalked" either, so there is no sign of fertility present as of the time the picture was taken.

What signs did they say you would be able to see in a week?

As I said, no matter when the eggs were laid or how long the female may have been waiting to lay them, they will not show any visible signs of development for at least three weeks after they have been put into incubation. So you still have 10-12 days to wait.

Sorry to say, but at this point, they do not look to me as though they are fertile. They look too translucent to me to be fertile, but I could be wrong.
