Enclosure cleaning

How often do you recommend cleaning out there cages? Once every few months? Just have one little guy, whenever I see a poop I scoop it out. I'm sure there pee probably smells after a while. So maybe when it starts to smell lol.

I’m new to having a tortoise but most things I’ve read says to spot clean each day and clean every week.

I clean mine daily while Ghost is soaking. I do a thorough one once a month where I will replace the substrate and wipe down the entire enclosure.

I spot clean weekly and do a big clean once a month or so ... Darwin mostly poops during his daily soaks, so the cleanings are mostly about leftover food.
