I made this for a 4-inch Russian tortoise. Will it be big enough for its size? outdoor wooden enclosure, 2' x 4'
It would be helpful to have a picture, but we do know what 4' x 2' looks like.

That size enclosure is big enough for brief excursions outside. But if you're planning for the tort to live outside full time when the weather is good, then it's not nearly big enough.

The minimum size is 8' x 4', and bigger is better. Torts walk a lot in order to help digest their food. They need large spaces even though they are small.

And a reminder...Russians are excellent climbers and escape artists. They will do things that will amaze you, like climb trees, or use objects or furniture to get high enough to go over the fence, or climb chain link. Don't underestimate their abilities...they're smarter than you think.

No, I don't feel that's a big enough space for a Russian tortoise. How big is your tortoise? If you bought him from a pet store, chances are good he's full grown, or almost full grown, so he needs lots of room to wander. They are hard wired to wander over great distances looking for feed, and even though food is now provided and there's no need to wander, he still feels the need to do so, So, 2'x4' just isn't big enough.
