I might be getting a 7.5 inch redfoot male and i have an enclosure thats 6 feet by 3 feet outside. Is this too small?
Yes. Much too small. 6x3 would be a good size for a hatchling or a baby.

6x3 is 18 square feet. I would want a MINIMUM of 10 times that size for a 7+ inch tortoise outside. I keep 8-12 inch young ones in 1000 square feet, 30x35, and they use every single inch of it. So even 180 square feet is on the small side for a tortoise that large.

When tortoises are kept in small pens it can cause all sorts of health issues. Impaction, lethargy, lack of fitness and bladder stone formation being primary examples. GO BIG!!! HUGE! Make that enclosure ENORMOUS!

Welcome fellow south Floridian
I agree. Make it as large as you have space for.
Redfoot do well outdoors in south Florida. Just make sure to provide lots of shady plants, etc and at least one shallow "pool" for soaking and drinking
