A lot of plants, actually (check thetortoisetable.org.uk and filter by safety). Besides spider plants, popular options are hosta, carex, boston fern. Chia is relatively easy to grow from seeds.
Update on the enclosure! I did it! Thank u all of u helping me and guiding me thru this🫂 I will put more decorations and plants after some research and will put a greenhouse top over tonight!

Congratulations! Waiting to see it fully decorated!

A small remark: try to move/rotate UVB lamp to light the basking area. You may also need to tilt the basking lamp a little (5-10 degrees) to avoid shadowing UVB light with basking lamp dome.

I have figured it out! Thanks Alex for the tips for a better enclosure for chippie, she loves climbing, I also set up some flower pots for her too!

Apart from that I want to ask a question, I have never brought chippie out with me to travel bfr, and I want to do it, in some other post on this forum I see people using a tote box, so I want to get one and set up one too just so chippie can travel with me and I can take care of her! And for the lights it will work for a set of clipping lights clipped to the box, but I’m not sure which one is right, here are the links I found from Amazon..

Traveling on coming Friday night🥹

What kind of travelling are you planning on doing? It probably goes without saying that tortoises are best suited for trips where you stay at the same indoor location for multiple days. I would try to replicate his at home enclosure as closely as possible and keep his feeding and light schedule the same as at home.

Many people will advice you against travelling with your tortoise, and they have good intentions and reasons. Most, if not all tortoises hate change. I hope you undestand that if there re any signs of stress, like not eating, not being active or pacing for example, while travelling it is best to leave him home in the future. It can be hard to maintain stable temperatures and humidity while travelling too.

Also, I wouldn't trust those clamps to hold up, they are known for failing and causing a fire hazard.

its more like 3 days sleepover at my partner’s place, indoors definitely, and ill be able to bring chippie out for little walks during that time, bfr when I do that at a friend’s place, I just bring the whole enclosure, and chippie eats normal during that time and loving the walks outdoors too. but now the enclosure is a bookshelf so🤣 I will have to get a tote box so I can bring chippie w me

For shorter trips UVB lamps aren't necessary. Just heat and ambient lighting is enough. Maybe look into something like this to slide under the tote instead of the clamps?

Hm. It's not an optimal situation at all: 3 days is a bit too long to leave him at home on his own and keeping him in a tote box for three days isn't better either.

Probably, the middle ground here is to bring his old enclosure to your partner's house and set up more or less permanent heating and lightning (UVB is not necessary, unless he will stay there for 3 days every week).

For traveling in a car a camping cooler box can be better than tote - more stable temperatures, darkness and minor sound insulation.

Maybe @zolasmum can share some tips on how they travel with Zola.
