So there's a large expo coming up and I've never been to one and I'd like to check it out, but I'm also SUPER uncomfortable being around animals sold as if they were toys, without a care that most of them will end up with pretty miserable lives. Is that the bulk of what to expect at an expo - people selling critters (or dumping them at the end if they don't sell)?

I want to see the supplies available, but I don't know if that's what I want my ticket fee to support.

Can anyone let me know what to expect?

I've been to quite a few reptile events and I can honestly say the majority of folks walking through are reptile people who care about their animals. And at the end of the day, the unsold animals go home with the vendor to be cared. Afterall, they've got a lot of time and money invested in these animals.

You're going to see animals crowded into small containers, but that's due to space constraints at the show. It doesn't harm the animal to be displayed in this way for a day or two.

Go and enjoy!
