eye problems?

she wont open her right eye, im not really sure why. i looked at it and there isnt any dirt covering it.

im wondering if there is anything that i can try to do without taking her to the vets, would soaking her maybe help?

any tips or suggestions would be great, thnak you

Soaking always seems to help...no matter WHAT the problem is. Maybe the tortoise scratched it or got a piece of dirt in it. Soaking would be very useful.

Soak and observe. If she opens her eye, check it for signs of redness, injury, etc. It is probably OK but you'll want to check.

A drop or two of eye-safe oil often helps as well. 'Turtle eye drops', for example, seem to help soften and lubricate the eye (although they don't seem to do much medically.)

You could also try giving her a bit more humidity or spray her down a few times. Sticky eyes usually means dryness in a sense.

i soaked her, and the eye opened very soon after :) what a relief. i checked her eye to make sure and it looked perfectly normal
