Are those being sold as human food? Or is that something from a florist? If its something from a florist, then it is not safe to feed to your tortoises.

It's a catch 22; at the florist, most likely a nono but at least they can identify the item; when one finds a plant in the yard, unless planted oneself, who knows if it's what it looks like or a toxic look-alike.

If so, mildly toxic to humans

No? I picked them out of my yard. I wouldn't go to a florist and buy tortoise food!!

I did not get these from a florist... I wouldn't do that. I find all of my weeds in the wild. Just checking to see if it was safe. Thanks people!
