Hello and welcome.

We don't know if that bedding is okay because we don't know what its made of. Its a proprietary secret. Looks like sand and soil, which I would use neither of. Plus "blueberries" and other additives? No thank you.

Best substrate for sulcata babies is fine grade orchid bark. AKA "Reptibark" or fir bark. Cheap and easy to find in bulk at a garden center.

Please give these a read:

Hey what is the best way to clean the terra cotta saucers since they are porous?
Thanks again!

Hello and welcome from Texas! I just wash my terracotta with water. I believe that after 1.5 of being up and running the enclosure has had a chance to develop colonies of beneficial bacteria that will keep things in check for you so no soaps/chemicals/disinfectants. Just warm or very warm water is what i use

I just use my hand to wipe them clean and either a hose or hot water in a sink to rinse and refill them.

Hello Vicky, I've been using Lugarti for the past 4 months, and I've had no problems. My tort doesn't seem to eat it and likes to dig in it. I don't know if you have this problem, but like any other substrate you do have to wet it down quite a bit. Otherwise, I will be getting more! Hope this helped!:)
